Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem every firstborn among your sons.

By sacrificing a lamb, buy back every male donkey born first to its mother. But if you don’t buy the donkey back, break its neck. Buy back every oldest son.

這些人沒有跟婦女在一起而使自己玷污，他們原是童身的。羊羔無論到哪裡去，他們都跟隨他。這些人是從世人中買來的，作初熟的果子歸給神和羊羔。

至於那超過利未人總數的二百七十三個，需要贖回的以色列人的長子，你要每人收取贖銀五十七克，要按照人數，根據聖所的秤收取，就是按照聖所的標準重量（“就是按照聖所的標準重量”原文作“一舍客勒是二十季拉”）。你要把那超額人數的贖銀，交給亞倫和他的兒子。”於是，摩西就從那些被利未人贖回以外的人收取贖銀；從頭生的以色列人收取的銀子，根據聖所的秤，共有約十五公斤。摩西照著耶和華的吩咐，把這贖銀交給了亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華吩咐摩西的。

於是，摩西把以色列的眾長老召了來，對他們說：“你們要按著家族自己選取羊羔，把這逾越節的羊羔宰殺了。

你們要告訴以色列全體會眾說：本月初十，他們各人要按著父家取羊羔，一家一隻。
