Then King Xerxes said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew,“ I have given Esther the property of Haman, and he has been impaled on a pole because he tried to destroy the Jews.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath was pacified.On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the Jews’ enemy, to Esther the queen. Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was to her.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.
