所以，你当从心中除掉愁烦，从肉体克去邪恶；因为一生的开端和幼年之时，都是虚空的。

所以，你要抛开心中的烦恼和肉体的痛苦，因为青春年华转瞬即逝。

所以你当除掉心中的烦恼，除去肉体的疾苦，因为无论是幼年或是壮年，都是虚空的。

因此你当从心中除掉烦恼，从肉体中除去疾苦；要知道，无论年少或青壮都转眼成空。

故當心屏憂愁、身去邪惡、因稚齒與英年、悉屬虛空、

故必去欲絕邪、蓋幼稚之時、亦屬於虛。

So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.

So drive worry out of your heart. Get rid of all your troubles. Being young and strong doesn’t have any meaning.

Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.

Remove sorrow from your heart, and put away pain from your flesh, because youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.

Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.

Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

Remove sorrow from your heart, and put away pain from your flesh, because youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

至愛者乎、我儕既得如此之應許、則當自潔、除身心之諸污、畏天主以成聖、○

我觀日下所作之事、皆屬於虛、皆如捕風、

爾當遠幼年之嗜慾、追求義與信與愛、並與清心籲主者求和睦、

柯希列曰、凡事虛中之虛、虛中之虛、皆屬於虛、

我儕因主震怒、幾至消亡、因主施威、皆甚驚惶、主將我儕罪愆、列於主前、將我隱惡、陳於主面光之中、因主震怒、致我儕日月速然而逝、我儕度年、疾如轉念、我儕年壽、不過七十、若強健者可至八十、其中勞苦煩惱甚多、日月甚速、我儕迅逝如飛、何人能識主怒之威嚴、誰能依敬畏主之道、明曉主之盛怒、

主歟、莫記念我幼年之罪惡愆尤、但求依主之恩惠、因主之仁慈眷念我、

萬物既將消滅、則爾之舉動、當如何聖潔、當如何虔敬、希望切慕天主之日至、是日天將被火焚燬、體質被烈燄銷鎔、惟我儕按主所許、希望新天新地、即義之所居也、可愛者乎、爾既望此、則當殷勤奮勉、可於主前無玷無瑕、而得平康、

愚存於子之心、以杖撲則可除之、

爾在幼時、患難之日未來、爾所不悅之年未至、當及時記憶造爾之主、

主竟擬我多受艱苦、以我幼年之罪、加諸我身、

主賜我生命、長不過掌、生存之年、在主前如同無有、一切世人、雖然豎立、亦是虛幻、細拉、

體雖壯如幼年、亦必速臥於塵土中、或作彼之隱惡深藏入骨必速受報臥於塵土中
