我下來是要從埃及人手中救他們，帶他們離開那裡，到一個遼闊肥沃的奶蜜之鄉，就是現在迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人居住的地方。

搶奪我產業的巴比倫人啊，你們歡喜快樂，像草場上歡跳的母牛犢，又像嘶鳴的公馬。

你們吃飽喝足後，要讚美你們的上帝耶和華，因為祂賜給你們那佳美之地。「你們要謹慎，免得忘記你們的上帝耶和華，不遵守我今天吩咐你們的誡命、典章和律例。當你們豐衣足食、居室華美、牛羊眾多、金銀日增的時候，切勿心驕氣傲，忘記你們的上帝耶和華。祂把你們從受奴役之地——埃及救出來，

他們即使在本國，在你賜給他們廣闊肥沃的土地上得享你的厚恩，也不事奉你，不離開惡道。

他們執迷不悟，但我喜愛你的律法。

祂應許要帶領你們脫離在埃及所受的苦難，到迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人，希未人和耶布斯人住的地方，那裡是奶蜜之鄉。』

「但耶書崙吃飽喝足，養肥長壯後，就得意忘形，背棄造他們的上帝，藐視救他們的磐石。他們拜外族的神明，令祂憤恨；行可憎之事，惹祂發怒。他們祭拜的不是真神，而是鬼魔，是他們素不認識的新神明，是他們祖先所不敬畏的。

「你們的上帝耶和華帶領你們進入將要佔領的土地時，會為你們趕走赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人這七個比你們強大的民族。

耶和華對摩西說：「你快要與祖先同眠了。這些百姓將很快在要佔領的土地上與外族人的神明苟合，背棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。那時，我要向他們發怒，離棄他們，掩面不理他們。他們將被吞滅，遭遇許多禍患和災難，以致他們會說，『這些禍患臨到我們豈不是因為上帝不在我們中間了嗎？』

我要尋找迷失的，領回分散的，包紮受傷的，醫治患病的，但我要消滅肥壯的。我要憑公義牧養他們。」

因為祂要帶你們到一個佳美之地。那裡的谷中和山間流淌著條條溪流、股股清泉；

他們良心喪盡，口出狂言。

他們胖得眼睛凸出，心中充滿罪惡。
