Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Don’t take advantage of any hired worker who is poor and needy. That applies to your own people. It also applies to outsiders living in one of your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

“ Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.

“ Do not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether one of your Israelite brothers or one of the resident aliens in a town in your land.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:

万军之耶和华说：“我要来到你们当中施行审判，速速作证指控那些行邪术的、通奸的、起假誓的、克扣工人薪水的、欺压寡妇孤儿的、冤枉异乡人的，以及不敬畏我的。

欺压穷人等于侮辱造物主，怜悯贫弱就是尊敬造物主。

靠压榨穷人敛财和送礼给富人的，都必穷困潦倒。

住在撒玛利亚山上的巴珊肥母牛啊，你们要听！你们压榨贫寒人，欺凌穷苦人，又使唤丈夫倒酒畅饮。

他们践踏穷人如同践踏地上的尘土，使卑微的人无处申冤；父子同淫一女，亵渎我的圣名。

我的仆婢告我，我也会讲公道，否则上帝追究，我怎么办？祂审问我，我如何回答？祂创造了我，岂不也创造了他们？岂不是同一位使我们在母腹中成胎？

使他们赤身露体地流浪，饿着肚子扛禾捆。他们在恶人的橄榄林中榨油，口干舌燥地在酒池踩踏。

“如果你们的同胞生活日益贫穷，难以维生，你们要像照顾外族人和寄居者一样照顾他的生活，让他住在你们当中。你们不可从中谋利，要敬畏上帝，让他住在你们当中。你们借钱给他，不可收取利息；借粮给他，不可谋利。我是你们的上帝耶和华。我曾经带领你们离开埃及，为要把迦南赐给你们，并做你们的上帝。“如果你们的同胞穷得把自己卖给你们，不可把他当作奴隶，要待他像雇工和寄居者一样。他要为你工作到禧年。到了禧年，他和孩子们便可以离开你们，回到自己的宗族和祖业。因为以色列人是我的仆人，是我从埃及带出来的，所以他们不可卖身为奴。你们也不可苛待他们，要敬畏你们的上帝。

“如果你们的希伯来同胞，不论男女，卖身给你们做奴隶，他们要服侍你们六年，到第七年，你们要给他们自由。你们不可让他们空手离去，要慷慨地把你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的羊、五谷和酒分给他们。要记住，你们曾在埃及做奴隶，你们的上帝耶和华拯救了你们。所以，我今天吩咐你们这样做。如果你们的奴隶因为爱你们和你们的家人，与你们相处融洽，不愿意离去，你们就要让他靠在门上，用锥子在他耳朵上扎个洞，他便终身成为你们的奴隶。对待婢女也要这样。你们释放奴隶时，不要不情愿，因为他们服侍你们六年，所做的是普通雇工的两倍。而且，你们的上帝耶和华也会在你们所做的一切事上赐福给你们。

他们轻慢父母，压迫寄居者，欺负孤儿寡妇。

践踏贫民、灭绝穷人的人啊，你们要听！

不要搬来搬去，要固定住在一家，接受那家的款待，因为工人理应得到工钱。
