Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own.

又使以撒生雅各與以掃、以西珥山賜以掃為業、惟雅各與子孫下伊及、

於是以掃居西珥山、以掃即以東、○

眾必逐爾不與人偕居、使與野獸同居、食草若牛、如此歷七期、使爾知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、

至高之主賜業萬族、俾亞當苗裔散處世間、則立定異邦之疆界、按以色列子孫之數、

人將逐王不與人偕居、不與人偕居或作離於人下同使王與野獸同居、食草若牛、為天降之露所濕、如此歷七期、使王知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、

且造人類萬族、本於一脈、使居於遍地、又定其時日、及所居之疆界、

我以大力巨能、創造大地、與地上人民牲畜、我以地賜人、惟我所悅、

昔以色列人出伊及時、遵主之命、不入亞捫摩押及西珥山之境、過而不滅其民、今彼來以惡報我儕、欲逐我於主所賜我為業之地、求我天主責之、此來攻我之群眾、我儕無力捍禦、我儕不知當何所為、我目惟盼望主、

是時天主未嘗在此地賜之以業、即立足之地、亦未賜之、惟許以此地賜彼及其子孫為業、時亞伯拉罕尚未有子也、
