那時你要謹慎，在他們從你面前被除滅之後，你不可受引誘隨從他們，也不可求問他們的神明，說：『這些國家怎樣事奉他們的神明，我也要照樣做。』

那时就要谨慎，不可在他们除灭之后随从他们的恶俗，陷入网罗，也不可访问他们的神说：‘这些国民怎样侍奉他们的神，我也要照样行。’

那時你要謹慎、不可在他們被消滅了之後去隨從他、而陷入網羅，也不可尋問他們的神說：「這些列國人怎樣事奉他們的神呢，我也要照樣地行。」

彼既滅於爾前、爾當慎之、勿受誘而從之、勿問其神、自謂斯族若何事神、我亦如之、

則當謹恪、勿陷於坎阱、勿求其上帝、意謂斯民服事其上帝、我亦必如是以行。

彼見滅於爾前之後、慎毋隨其惡俗陷於罪網、毋求其所敬之神、毋自言此諸國之民、如何事其諸神、我亦欲如是行、

and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying,“ How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.”

They will be destroyed to make room for you. But when they are destroyed, be careful. Don’t be trapped. Don’t ask questions about their gods. Don’t say,“ How do these nations serve their gods? We’ll do it in the same way.”

take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying,‘ How did these nations serve their gods?— that I also may do the same.’

do not fall into the trap of following their customs and worshiping their gods. Do not inquire about their gods, saying,‘ How do these nations worship their gods? I want to follow their example.’

你要吞滅耶和華－你的上帝交給你的各民族，你的眼目不可顧惜他們。你也不可事奉他們的神明，因為這必成為你的圈套。

「你們說：『我們要像列國和列邦的宗族一樣，去事奉木頭與石頭。』你們所起的心意萬不能成就。」

耶和華如此說：「不要效法列國的行為，任憑列國因天象驚惶，你們不要驚惶。

要從你們面前趕出那地所有的居民，摧毀他們一切的石像和鑄成的偶像，也要拆毀他們一切的丘壇。

所以我這樣說，且在主裏鄭重地說，你們行事為人，不要再像外邦人存虛妄的心而活。

我領他們到我起誓應許賜給他們的地，他們看見各高岡、各茂密的樹，就在那裏獻祭，獻上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裏焚燒馨香的祭，獻澆酒祭。

他們不照耶和華所吩咐的滅絕外邦人，反倒與列國相交，學習他們的行為，事奉他們的偶像，這就成了自己的圈套。他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，用他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為上帝的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

因為你們從前隨從外邦人的心意，生活在淫蕩、情慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎的偶像崇拜中，時候已經夠了。在這些事上，他們見你們不與他們同奔放蕩無度的路就以為怪，毀謗你們。

我要定你的疆界，從紅海直到非利士海，從曠野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他們從你面前趕出去。不可跟他們和他們的神明立約。他們不可住在你的地上，免得他們使你得罪我。你若事奉他們的神明，必成為你的圈套。」

你們不可做你們從前住埃及地的人所做的，也不可做我要領你們去的迦南地的人所做的。你們不可照他們的習俗行。

你們不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。』你們竟沒有聽從我的話。你們為何這樣做呢！因此我說：『我必不將他們從你們面前趕出。他們必作你們肋下的荊棘，他們的神明必成為你們的圈套。』」

他們厭棄他的律例，和他與他們列祖所立的約，以及他勸戒他們的話，去隨從虛無的神明，自己成為虛妄，效法周圍的列國，就是耶和華囑咐他們不可效法的。
