He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.

He will tell lies in order to succeed. He will think he is more important than anyone else. When people feel safe, he will destroy many of them. He will stand up against the greatest Prince of all. Then he will be destroyed. But he will not be killed by human beings.

By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken— but by no human hand.

He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant; he will destroy many without warning. He will even take on the Prince of princes in battle, but he will be broken, though not by human power.

He will cause deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence, and in his own mind he will exalt himself. He will destroy many in a time of peace; he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken— not by human hands.

牠逕自擴大勢力，甚至自以為是天象之君，竟把不斷獻與天象之君的燔祭除掉，把天象之君的聖建築拋棄。

我看見那獸和地上的君王跟他們的眾軍、都聚集了來、要對那騎馬的和他的軍隊作戰。那獸被逮，那假神言人、就是那在獸面前行過神迹、用神迹迷惑了受獸印記和拜獸像的人的、也和獸一同被逮；這兩個活活地丟在那有硫磺燒着的火湖裏。其餘的被騎馬者口中吐出的劍殺了；眾鳥都喫飽了他們的肉。

一眨眼他們就死亡、於半夜中；平民被震撼而過去；有權勢的被除滅、非借人手。

他必在海與華美的聖山之間樹立他宮殿式的帳幕。後來走到他的結局、也沒有人幫助他。

我正在觀賞這些角，忽見它們之間又長起另一個角來，是小小的；先前的角之中有三個在這小角之前連根都被拔出來；看哪，這角有眼像人的眼，有口說着誇大的話呢。

然而審判者必坐堂審判；他的權柄必被奪去，被毁壞、被滅絕、一直到底。

『那王必任意而行，自高自大超過所有的神，又說了荒謬怪誕的話來攻擊萬神之神上帝。他倒會亨通順利，直到上帝的震怒發盡；因為鐵定的事必定作成。他必不顧他列祖的神，也不顧婦女所愛慕的神；無論何神他都不顧，因為他必自大高過一切。

他必用圓滑手段去使作惡違背聖約的人世俗化；惟獨認識他們之上帝的子民必剛強而力行。民間的通達人必教訓大眾明白，但他們必在幾天之間由刀劍跟火燄、因被擄或被搶而仆倒。

這四國執政的末期、罪惡貫滿的時候、必有一個王立起來，鐵面無情，慣用雙關詐語。他的權勢必然強盛，卻不是出於他自己的權勢：他必行極出奇的毁滅，順利成功而行；他又必毁滅強盛者和聖者之民。

當那些王在位的日子，天上的上帝必另立一國、永不被滅；其政權也不留歸別族的人；它卻要砸碎而消滅那一切國；它必存立到永遠；正如你看見了一塊石頭、從山上鑿出來，不是用人手鑿的：它把鐵、銅、瓦、銀、金、都砸碎了。至大的上帝將此後要發生的事都告訴王了。這夢準是這樣；其解析也是確實的。

『你們要使摩押沉醉，因為他向永恆主妄自尊大；摩押必跌在他自己所吐的之中以致濺起來；他也必成了譏笑的對象。

都因我眾民的罪孽比所多瑪的罪還大；雖無懲罰的手旋轉於所多瑪之上，它還在一眨眼間就被傾覆。

『必有一個卑鄙的人立起來接替他的位子；君王的威榮未曾給了他，他卻趁人坦然無備時用圓滑手段取得了國。軍兵在他面前必完完全全被沖沒而破敗；盟約的人君也必如此。由於人跟他聯盟的緣故、他必行詭詐；抖起來，以小小的國成為強盛。趁人坦然無備時，來到省內極肥的地區，行他列祖和他列祖的祖所沒有行過的，將擄物掠物和財物散給眾人；並且設計謀以攻打堡壘城；不過也只是到已定的時期罷了。他必奮力鼓勇率領大軍隊去攻擊南方王；南方王也必率領又大又很強的軍隊去作戰，然而卻站立不住，因為有人設計謀害南方王。

你在觀看着，忽見有一塊石頭、不是人手鑿出的、撞擊了那像半鐵半瓦的腳上，把腳砸碎了。於是鐵、瓦、銅、銀、金、都一同砸得粉碎，如同夏天禾場上的粃糠渣兒；風把它們颳散，原處便無可尋。但那擊碎這像的石頭卻變成了一座大山佔滿了全地。

他們必對羔羊爭戰，羔羊必勝過他們，因為羔羊是萬主之主、萬王之王；那些同羔羊在一起、蒙召被揀選而忠信的、也必得勝。』

主的使者立時擊打希律，因為他不將榮耀歸與上帝，他被蟲子咬，就氣絕了。

他有名字在他衣裳和大腿上寫着說：「萬王之王，萬主之主」。
