因其威儀、億兆族姓、戰慄於前、生殺昇降、皆出王衷、

因天主賜之威權、各民、各國、各族、戰慄恐懼於其前、彼隨意生殺、隨意升降、

Because of the high position he gave him, all the nations and peoples of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled.

God gave him a high position. Then people from every nation became afraid of the king. That was true no matter what language they spoke. The king put to death anyone he wanted to. He spared anyone he wanted to spare. He gave high positions to anyone he wanted to. And he brought down anyone he wanted to bring down.

And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled.

He made him so great that people of all races and nations and languages trembled before him in fear. He killed those he wanted to kill and spared those he wanted to spare. He honored those he wanted to honor and disgraced those he wanted to disgrace.

Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.

Now because of the greatness which He granted him, all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages trembled and feared in his presence; whomever he wished, he killed, and whomever he wished, he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated, and whomever he wished he humbled.

And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down.

凡不俯伏下拜的，就必立刻扔在烈火的窑中。”

因此，王大发烈怒，下令杀绝巴比伦所有的智慧人。于是王的御旨发出，要把智慧人都杀死；人就寻找但以理和他的同伴，要杀死他们。

那时，传令官大声呼叫说：“各国、各族、说各种语言的人哪！这是传给你们的命令：

又吩咐他军队中几个最精壮的士兵，把沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌绑起来，扔在烈火的窑中。于是这三个人穿着外袍、长裤、头巾和身上其他的衣服，被绑起来，扔在烈火的窑中。

我现在下令：无论各国、各族、说各种语言的人，凡说话得罪沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌的神的，必被碎尸万段，他的家也必成为废墟，因为没有别的神能这样施行拯救。”

君王的烈怒好像死亡的使者，唯有智慧人能平息君王的怒气。

看哪！我要打发人去征召北方的众族，和我的仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，领他们来攻击这地和这地的居民，以及周围的列国；我要把他们彻底消灭，使他们成为令人惊骇，受人嗤笑的对象，和永远荒废的地方。”这是耶和华的宣告。“我要从他们中间除掉欢喜和快乐的声音，新郎和新妇的声音，推磨的声音和灯的亮光。这地要全变为荒废，令人惊骇；这些国家要服事巴比伦王七十年。“七十年满了以后，我要按着他们的罪孽惩罚巴比伦王和那国，就是迦勒底人之地，使它永远荒凉。”这是耶和华的宣告。“我必使我所说攻击那地的一切话应验在那地；我所说的，就是一切记录在这书上的，是耶利米攻击列国所说的预言。因为许多国家和大君王将要奴役迦勒底人，我必按着他们的作为和他们手所作的报应他们。”

财富（传统作“酒”，今照死海古卷译作“财富”）使人奸诈狂傲，不得安宁；扩张欲望，如同阴间；又像死亡，永不满足。他们招聚万国，集合万民，都归自己。

耶稣说：“如果不是从天上给你权柄，你就无权办我；因此，把我交给你的那人，罪更重了。”

王啊！你就是那树，越来越伟大坚强；你的威势渐长，高达于天；你的权柄直到地极。

是我用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造了大地，以及地面上的人和兽；我看给谁适合，就把地给谁。现在我已经亲自把这一切国家都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中，连田野的走兽，我也交给他，供他奴役。列国都要服事他和他的儿子、孙子，直到他本国遭报的时候来到；那时，许多国家和大君王都要奴役他。

政府的权柄，人人都应当服从。因为没有一样权柄不是从神来的；掌权的都是神设立的。
