你仍然向我的人民自高，不让他们离开吗？

你要对君王和太后说：“你们应从宝座下来，因为华丽的冠冕已经从你们的头上脱下来了。”

尼布甲尼撒王曾经使他指着神起誓，他还是背叛了尼布甲尼撒；他顽固执拗，不肯归向耶和华以色列的神。

可是他们不听从，反而硬着自己的颈项，好像他们的祖先，不信服耶和华他们的神；

在灭亡以先，必有骄傲；在跌倒以前，心中高傲。

“万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘看哪！我必使我宣告攻击这城的一切灾祸，临到这城和她附近的一切城镇，因为他们硬着颈项，不听从我的话。’”

要倒尽你忿激的怒气，观看所有骄傲的人，使他们降卑。观看所有骄傲的人，把他制伏，把恶人践踏在他们的地方，

心里骄傲的人都是耶和华厌恶的；他们必不免受罚。

趁着还有叫作“今天”的时候，总要天天互相劝勉，免得你们中间有人受了罪恶的诱惑，心里就刚硬了。

因为他向神挥拳，向全能者逞强，用盾牌的厚凸面，硬着颈项向他直闯。因为他以自己的脂肪蒙脸，腰上积满肥油。

明亮之星、清晨之子啊！你怎么从天上坠落？你这倾覆列国的，怎么被砍倒在地上？你心里曾说：‘我要升到天上，我要高举我的宝座到神的众星之上，我要坐在聚会的山上，在北方的极处。我要升到云的高处，我要使自己像那至高者一般。’然而，你却被抛下阴间，落到坑中的极处。那些看见你的，都必定睛看你，他们必注视着你，说：‘那使大地震动，使列国摇撼，使世界如同荒野，倾覆城镇，又不释放囚犯的，就是这人吗？’

现在我尼布甲尼撒赞美、尊崇、荣耀天上的王，因为他所作的一切都正确，他所行的也都公平；行为骄傲的，他都能贬低。”

他说：“这大巴比伦城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，为显我威严的荣耀吗？”这话在王的口中还没有说完，就有声音从天上传下来，说：“尼布甲尼撒王啊！有话对你说：你的王权被褫夺了。你必被赶逐，离开人群，和野地的走兽同住；你必像牛一样吃草，要经过七年的时期；等到你承认至高者在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢把国赐给谁，就赐给谁。”这话立刻就应验在尼布甲尼撒身上；他被赶逐，离开人群，像牛一样吃草，身体被天露滴湿，直到他的头发长得像鹰毛，指甲像鸟爪。

他用膀臂施展大能，驱散心里妄想的狂傲人。他使有权能的失位，叫卑微的升高，

“‘耶和华这样说：那些支持埃及的必倾倒，埃及所夸耀的势力必衰落。从密夺到色弗尼，他们都必倒在刀下；这是主耶和华说的：

我告诉你们，这个人回家去，比那个倒算为义了。因为高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己谦卑的，必要升高。”

巴比伦的处女啊！你下来，坐在尘土中吧！迦勒底的女儿啊！你坐在地上吧！没有宝座了，因为你必不再被称为柔弱娇嫩的了。

住在底本的人民哪！要从你们荣耀的位上下来，坐在干旱的地上（“干旱的地上”原文作“干渴”），因为毁灭摩押的要上来攻击你们，摧毁你们的坚固城。

现在我知道耶和华为至大，超乎万神之上，因为这在埃及人以狂傲的态度对以色列人的事上已经证明了。”

你们为什么要硬着心，像以前埃及人和法老那样呢？神严严地对付他们以后，他们不是放走了以色列人，以色列人不是真的离开了吗？
