Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

I have a hope in God( a hope that these men themselves accept too) that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and placed me in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones.He made me walk all around among them. I realized there were a great many bones in the valley and they were very dry.He said to me,“ Son of man, can these bones live?” I said to him,“ Sovereign Lord, you know.”Then he said to me,“ Prophesy over these bones, and tell them:‘ Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

Listen, I will tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed–in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.Now when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will happen,“ Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and another book was opened– the book of life. So the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians.

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man.For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that as the last he will stand upon the earth.And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God,whom I will see for myself, and whom my own eyes will behold, and not another. My heart grows faint within me.

Jesus answered them,“ You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!”

But the LORD is with me to help me like an awe-inspiring warrior. Therefore those who persecute me will fail and will not prevail over me. They will be thoroughly disgraced because they did not succeed. Their disgrace will never be forgotten.

Will I deliver them from the power of Sheol? No, I will not! Will I redeem them from death? No, I will not! O Death, bring on your plagues! O Sheol, bring on your destruction! My eyes will not show any compassion!

Has the potter no right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special use and another for ordinary use?
