基督在十字架、勝諸權力、明徇於眾而凱旋、

敗諸執政者秉權者、擄掠之而示於眾、賴十字架勝之而凱旋、○

於以解除群魔之武裝、揭其慘敗、而慶聖架之凱旋。

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

He took away the weapons of the powers and authorities. He made a public show of them. He won the battle over them by dying on the cross.

He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said,“ It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, Or the captives of the righteous be delivered?But thus says the Lord:“ Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.“ For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand,Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”’“ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there.

Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.

He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying,“ If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying,“ Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”Then he said to Jesus,“ Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”And Jesus said to him,“ Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
