惟吾語爾、愛爾仇讐、為辱爾者禱、

葆樂致詞既畢、跪而與眾共禱、

耶穌曰：『父乎、眾不知其所為、祈寬赦之。』

而彼安寢於基督懷中者、悉已淪亡矣。

對於已亡之人、勿過於哀傷、一如未具望德者之所為；此吾不欲兄弟之不知也。夫吾人既信耶穌之死而復活、亦應信天主必引諸凡安寢於耶穌懷中者、與之俱來也。

逆來順受、祝而無詛。人樂亦樂、人泣亦泣。同心一德、無分彼此。毋好高而鶩遠、宜謙卑以自牧。妄自尊大、非所宜也；以怨報怨、庸有當乎？立身當光明磊落、務求上可對主、下可對人；處世以和平為本、亦惟盡其在我、任其在他而已矣。人以橫逆相加、望我兄弟無思自為報復、靜候天討可也。主不云乎、『報復乃吾之事也；賞善罰惡、有吾在焉。』故曰：『敵人飢則食之、渴則飲之、是不啻以烈火加厥頂。』慎勿為惡所勝、惟宜以善勝惡也。

後五百兄弟同時見之、此中多數至今尚存、少數已死。

爾中弱者病者既多、死者亦復不少、坐是故耳。

基督之為吾人而死、亦欲吾人無論生前死後、與之共生而已。

諸塚自開、而已故諸聖、多有甦者。

人咒爾、爾祝之；人辱爾、爾為禱；

我且示爾以神聖之秘密：吾人不必盡死、惟必須盡化。
