推之出城、以石擊之；為證者置其衣於一少年之足前、少年者掃羅也。

主曰：「去！予將遣汝遠適異邦。」』

餘人且執其僕、辱而殺之！

先是、因司諦文罹難而散之同人、足跡遠及腓尼基、居比路、及安提阿。彼等傳道、僅止於猶太人、而不及他人。惟其中亦有居比路及古利奈人。既至安提阿、乃向希臘人傳揚主耶穌之福音。賴主神佑、信而歸主者甚眾。耶路撒冷教會聞此佳訊、即遣巴拿巴前往安提阿；

散之四方者、隨在傳道；

猶太、加利利、沙瑪里教會、既獲平安、得以建立、於是奉主益虔、聖神沛賜靈慰、信者日眾。

宜憶吾言、僕不能大乎其主、人既侮予、亦必悔爾；人守吾訓、亦必守爾之訓。

耶路撒冷宗徒聞沙瑪里民眾領受天主大道、遣伯鐸祿若望二人前往祈禱、

人將開除爾等教籍；屆時、殺爾者、且將自以為盡忠於天主矣！

爾曹乃地上之鹽也、鹽失其味、更將何以調之？從此休矣、惟有棄之於外、而任人踐踏耳。

相率前來、懇其稍作勾留。居二日、聽其言而信之者益眾。咸謂婦人曰：『吾人之信、不復憑汝之言、茲已親聆其教、而確知其為救世主矣。』二日後、耶穌別斯邑、而赴加利利；

安提阿教區有先知及主講數人、即巴拿巴、西門字尼結、古利奈人路求、分封王希祿之幼侶馬念、及掃羅是已。

茲欲告慰於兄弟者、即予所遭受之一切、適足促成福音之發揚光大也。

且謂之曰『往立聖殿中、以生命之道布之於人。』

厥後又憑信德、不恤君王之震怒、而逃出埃及。蓋其心目中常有形而上之天主、故能百折不撓、磨而不磷也。

是故吾遣先知哲人經師於爾、爾或刃之釘之、或鞭之於會堂、逐之於諸邑、

群執宗徒、囚之於獄。

昔於曠野集會之中、往來於天神與吾列祖之間、天神與語於西乃山、領受生命之道、而傳之吾人者、即此摩西也。

弟能及師、僕能如主、足矣；家主且被人呼為魔王、況家人乎？雖然、人不足畏也；蓋藏者無不彰、隱者無不顯耳。我暗中教爾者、爾當宣之於光中；爾貼耳所聞者、當布之於屋頂。彼僅能殺身而不能滅靈者、不足懼也。惟能兼滅身靈於冥獄中者、斯可畏已。

頌讚天主、深得民歡、主復日以獲救者充實其群。

眾聞是語對司諦文痛心疾首、忿恚滋甚。
