眾聞之、無不歸榮天主、謂葆樂曰：『爾觀猶太人之信教者盈千累萬、篤守摩西律法；

予曾為爾祈禱、使爾信德不渝、爾既回頭、務宜堅定爾兄弟之信心。』

雖然、在爾撒爾底亦頗有若干人涅而不緇、迄今未汙其服；若輩當得身被道袍、而從我遊矣。

不然、則亦應憑予所行事蹟而信之。予切實語爾、凡置信於予者、必能行予之所行、且其所行將有大於斯者以予歸父故也。

自是兄弟間紛傳此徒不死之說。然耶穌未言其不死、第曰：「縱欲留彼於世、以俟予之重來、亦何與於汝」耳。

復又喻曰：『天國猶如芥子；
