Now a troublemaker named Sheba son of Bikri, a Benjamite, happened to be there. He sounded the trumpet and shouted,“ We have no share in David, no part in Jesse’s son! Every man to his tent, Israel!”

An evil man who always stirred up trouble happened to be in Gilgal. His name was Sheba, the son of Bikri. Sheba was from the tribe of Benjamin. He blew his trumpet. Then he shouted,“ We don’t have any share in David’s kingdom! Jesse’s son is not our king! Men of Israel, every one of you go back home!”

Now there happened to be there a worthless man, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite. And he blew the trumpet and said,“ We have no portion in David, and we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; every man to his tents, O Israel!”

There happened to be a troublemaker there named Sheba son of Bicri, a man from the tribe of Benjamin. Sheba blew a ram’s horn and began to chant:“ Down with the dynasty of David! We have no interest in the son of Jesse. Come on, you men of Israel, back to your homes!”

Now a wicked man, a Benjaminite named Sheba son of Bichri, happened to be there. He blew the ram’s horn and shouted: We have no portion in David, no inheritance in Jesse’s son. Each man to his tent, Israel!

后来，所有的以色列人来见大卫，说：“为什么我们的弟兄犹大人偷偷地送王、王的家眷和王的部下渡河？”犹大人答道：“我们这样做是因为王是我们的亲族。你们为什么生气呢？难道我们吃了王的供应，得了什么礼物吗？”以色列人说：“但我们以色列人十个支派和王有十份的情分，你们为什么轻视我们？难道不是我们首先提出要请王回来的吗？”但犹大人的态度比以色列人还要强硬。

就对左右的臣仆说：“便雅悯人啊，你们听着！难道耶西的儿子会给你们田地和葡萄园吗？他能立你们做千夫长和百夫长吗？为什么你们一同谋害我？我的儿子跟耶西的儿子立约，没有人告诉我。就是今天我的儿子鼓动我的臣仆来谋害我，也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

好斗之人煽动争端，如同余火加炭、火上加柴。

不可鲁莽地打官司，以免败诉、羞愧难当。

但恶人要像荆棘一样被丢弃，没人用手碰他们，

耶和华，我的上帝，我的圣者啊，你从亘古就存在，你永不消逝。耶和华啊，你派迦勒底人来审判；磐石啊，你立他们作施罚者。你的眼目极为清洁，见不得邪恶，也不能容忍罪恶。但你为何容忍奸恶之人呢？恶人吞灭比他们公义的人，你为何默然不语呢？

孩子啊，要敬畏耶和华和君王，不要跟反复无常之徒为伍。因为灾祸必骤然临到他们，谁知道耶和华和君王如何毁灭他们？

义人也会遭遇许多患难，但耶和华必拯救他，

他们正欢快的时候，城里的一群无赖前来围住房子，连连叩门，对老人说：“把你家里的客人交出来，我们要跟他性交。”

以利的两个儿子为人邪恶，不敬畏耶和华，

他派密使通知以色列各支派一听见号角的响声，便喊：“押沙龙在希伯仑做王了！”

到了那里，他就在以法莲的山区吹响号角，召集以色列人。众人跟随以笏下山，

“可是他的人民却憎恨他，他们随后派一个代表团去请愿说，‘我们不要这人做我们的王。’

大卫随从中那些不良分子说：“他们没有跟我们一起去打仗，我们抢回来的东西不应分给他们，只让他们带走自己的妻子和儿女就好了。”

至于那些反对我做王的仇敌，把他们捉回来，在我面前处决。’”
