So all the men of Israel deserted David to follow Sheba son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed by their king all the way from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel deserted David. They followed Sheba, the son of Bikri. But the men of Judah stayed with their king. They remained with him from the Jordan River all the way to Jerusalem.

So all the men of Israel withdrew from David and followed Sheba the son of Bichri. But the men of Judah followed their king steadfastly from the Jordan to Jerusalem.

他到达后，看见上帝所赐的恩典，就万分高兴，劝勉他们要全心地忠于主。

从此，很多门徒离开了，不再跟从耶稣。于是耶稣问那十二个门徒：“你们也要离开我吗？”西门·彼得答道：“主啊！你有永生之道，我们还跟从谁呢？

王便启程回宫。他来到约旦河时，犹大人都到吉甲来迎接他，要护送他过河。

争端爆发如洪水决堤，当在爆发前将其制止。

卑贱人不过是一丝气息，尊贵人不过是一场幻影，把他们放在天平上一秤，比空气还轻，毫无分量。

投靠耶和华胜过倚靠人。投靠耶和华胜过倚靠权贵。列国围住我，但我靠着耶和华消灭了他们。

王过河后，来到吉甲，金罕跟随着他。护送王的有犹大的士兵和半数的以色列士兵。后来，所有的以色列人来见大卫，说：“为什么我们的弟兄犹大人偷偷地送王、王的家眷和王的部下渡河？”

但住在犹大城邑的以色列人仍受罗波安统治。
