既知天地萬物終歸消滅、則爾等應如何孳孳為善、

这一切既然都要如此销化，你们为人该当怎样圣洁，怎样敬虔，

既然这一切都要如此消失，你们处世为人必须圣洁敬虔，

既然这一切都要如此消失，你们处世为人必须圣洁敬虔，

一切都要这样被焚毁，你们在热切等候上帝来临的日子期间，该怎样过圣洁、敬虔的生活啊！因为到那日，天要被火焚毁，有形有质的都要被烈火熔化烧尽。

这一切既然都要这样融化，你们应当怎样为人，过着圣洁和敬虔的生活，

既然这一切都要如此被废除，那么，你们应该做什么样的人呢？应该行为圣洁、敬畏神，

這一切既然都要如此銷化，你們為人該當怎樣聖潔，怎樣敬虔，

既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，

既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，

一切都要這樣被焚毀，你們在熱切等候上帝來臨的日子期間，該怎樣過聖潔、敬虔的生活啊！因為到那日，天要被火焚毀，有形有質的都要被烈火熔化燒盡。

這一切既都要這樣消毁，你們就該做甚麼樣的人，該怎樣以聖別的品行和虔敬

既然這一切都要如此被廢除，那麼，你們應該做什麼樣的人呢？應該行為聖潔、敬畏神，

諸物既將如是消滅、則爾之為人、當如何清潔虔敬哉、

百物如將消滅、爾曹宜如何行善虔敬、

萬物既將消滅、則爾之舉動、當如何聖潔、當如何虔敬、

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

So everything will be destroyed in this way. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,

Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live,

Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godliness

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy living and godliness,

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godliness

Since all these things are to melt away in this manner, what sort of people must we be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness,

Therefore since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,

蓋召爾者聖、爾亦宜修身砥行、克肖其聖。

翼翼事主、以速主日之臨、蓋正惟諸天焚化、物質消溶、

汝乃天主之人、自應避免此等之事、一心惟公義、至誠、信德、愛德、耐德、謙德、是務、

爾等與異邦人雜處、尤宜慎自檢點、勉立善表、務使謗爾者見爾善行、而頌揚天主於眷顧之日。

所望爾等立身處世、日用之間、在在以無忝基督之福音為念；且不僅於爾我相晤時為然、即暫相睽隔、亦願聞爾等團結一致、堅立不移、

懷恩以為祭。賜爾弘玄德。整飭爾行為。救恩徒手得。

主曰時熟。將行讞鞫。彰我正義。賞善罰惡。

爾中如有聰明睿智之人、宜以高尚之德行、及溫和之精神、彰其智慧。

嗚呼、聖道之玄妙、不亦浩浩其天、淵淵其淵乎哉！所謂玄妙者無他、即現於肉身、證於聖神、見於天神、傳於兆民、信於普世、而躋於光榮者也。

不可授人口實、謂汝年輕無知也。務望努力向上、以作信徒之楷式；無論言行、愛德、信德、操守、皆有足法。

暫見其容、而轉身即自忘其形容之彷彿。

若有人宣傳異端、而不服膺吾主耶穌基督之至言妙理、以及奉事天主之正道、

具徵吾儕之授爾以福音、不僅以言、且以神力與聖神、實事求是、廓然不疑。吾儕向在爾中服務、爾等固知其為何如人也。

吾人仰賴耶穌之神德、得認識以其大榮大德而恩召吾人之天主。於是凡關於立身處世、敬事天主所需之一切、乃應有而盡有矣。

吾人則為自由自在之天民、延頸舉踵、而望救世主耶穌基督之自天而降、

其徒驚異曰：『斯誠何人、並風與海亦順其命矣！』

夫樂道安貧、祿在其中矣。

既有明達、加以克治；既能克治；加以堅忍；既有堅忍、加以虔誠；

立身處世、切莫貪財；若能知足、則常樂矣。天主不云乎：『我決不爾棄、有急我當濟。』

彼佩弓與刀。欲殺賢與良。

蓋吾儕所引以為榮、而問心無疚者、則吾儕立身處世、尤在爾我之間、一秉天主之正直及至誠、不徇私智、惟恃天主聖寵而已。
