Live like this as you look forward to the day of God. Living like this will make the day come more quickly. On that day fire will destroy the heavens. Its heat will melt everything in them.

雖然、主日之臨、必突如其來、有若不速之客焉。當時諸天訇然而逝、物質之元素、溶解於烈火之中。大地及所載之萬彙、悉皆焚化。

大主行巡狩。聲威何赫奕。霹靂為前驅。大風舞周市。

翼翼事主、翹足企首、仰望真福、與夫大主宰及吾救主耶穌基督之光臨。

天星紛紛隕地、猶如鳳菓樹、為颶風所搖、而落其未熟之菓焉。其時蒼穹亦杳然而逝、如一幅圖書倏焉被卷；山嶺海島、莫不移位；

即現有天地、亦何嘗非憑天主之言而維持、以待不肖之徒受判被戮之日、而付諸一炬乎？

俾爾等安心靜候吾主耶穌基督之顯現。天主亦必賜爾等堅守信德、始終不渝；庶幾爾等於耶穌基督重臨之日、聖德全備、無懈可擊。

庶克長遊於天主聖愛之中、而望我主耶穌基督加以慈惠、賜以常生。

主既以善工導爾於初、亦必有以成爾於終、以迨耶穌基督之日；
