Then Jehu drew his bow and shot Joram between the shoulders. The arrow pierced his heart and he slumped down in his chariot.

有一個人隨便射了一箭，竟射中了以色列王鐵甲與護胸甲之間的地方。王對駕車的說：“你把車轉過來，載我離開戰場吧！我受了重傷。”

忘記神的人哪！你們要思想這事，免得我把你們撕碎，沒有人能搭救。

他正在填飽肚腹的時候，神就把猛烈的怒氣降在他身上，他正在吃飯的時候，神要把這怒氣如雨降在他身上。他要逃避鐵製的兵器，但銅弓的箭必把他射穿；他把箭一抽，箭就從背後出來，發亮的箭頭從他的膽中出來，死亡的驚恐臨到他身上。

罪人既然作惡百次，還享長壽，那麼我知道敬畏神的人，就是在他面前存敬畏的心的，必享福樂。惡人卻沒有福樂，也得不到長壽；他好像影子的短暫，因為他在神面前不存敬畏的心。

人正在說平安穩妥的時候，毀滅性的災禍就突然臨到他們，好像生產的痛苦臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。

任何智慧、聰明、謀略都不能敵擋耶和華。
