越至於後、亞蘭王便哈達集其全軍、圍撒馬利亞邑。

大闢殺鎖巴人、其時哩遜集人成群、而為其長、往大馬色、據其國而治理。

亞蘭王便哈達、集其軍旅、備其車馬、同盟者三十二王、遂往環攻撒馬利亞、

亞蘭以大馬色為都、大馬色以哩汛為王、以法蓮以撒馬利亞為都、撒馬利亞以哩馬利子為王、未及六十五載、以法蓮族必敗、國不成國、如爾不信、亦弗能恆存。

一臣曰、我主我王、無人助之、乃以色列族之先知、以利沙以王在寢室所言之事、悉告其主。

便哈達曰、昔我先人所奪爾父之邑、我必反爾、我先人在撒馬利亞作衢、今爾在大馬色亦可作衢、亞哈曰、既結此約、可令爾歸。於是結約、而使之去。○

時值耶羅破暗侍於壇側、方欲焚香、有上帝之僕、奉耶和華命、自猶大至伯特利、

分其隊伍、乘夜攻擊、又追至大馬色北之何巴。

事上帝之人摩西、其未沒時為以色列族祝嘏、

先知之徒、在耶利哥、見此則曰、以利亞所感之神、臨格以利沙。遂迓之、俯伏於地、

或告迦薩人曰、參孫至此。乃竟夕環守、更伏邑門、默無聲息、自謂待至黎明、我必殺之。

遂遣五十夫長、率五十人、既至、見以利亞坐於山巔、謂之曰、上帝之僕、王命爾下。以利亞對曰、如我為上帝之僕、願火自天降、燬爾及五十卒、於是自天降火、燬五十夫長及卒。

不遇、則曳耶孫與數兄弟、送於邑宰、呼曰、有亂天下者至此、

亞撒以耶和華殿中之府庫、及王宮室所藏之金銀、托其臣僕、遣至大馬色、以饋亞蘭王、希旬孫達哩門子便哈達、曰、
