以利沙謂其僕曰、告之云、爾既為我思慮周密、我當為爾何為、爾於王、或軍長、有所求乎、婦曰、我居於我民中、安甚、

以利沙告從者曰、爾當告婦曰、爾既為我慮之周密、我當為爾何為、或請於王、或請於軍長。婦曰、我居於民間、無不自得。

以利沙命僕曰、爾告之云、爾既為我思慮周密若此、我當為爾何為、爾於王或軍長有何所求乎、婦曰、我在我民中安居焉、

Elisha said to him,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” She replied,“ I have a home among my own people.”

He said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to a lot of trouble for us. Now what can we do for you? Can we speak to the king for you? Or can we speak to the commander of the army for you?’ ” She replied,“ I live among my own people. I have everything I need here.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

Elisha said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ We appreciate the kind concern you have shown us. What can we do for you? Can we put in a good word for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’”“ No,” she replied,“ my family takes good care of me.”

Then he said to Gehazi,“ Say to her,‘ Look, you’ve gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I am living among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Behold, you have taken trouble for us with all this care; what can I do for you? Would you like me to speak for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” But she answered,“ I live among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”

May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain,but when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently and found me( the Lord grant to him to find the Lord’s mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.

But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you,and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

Say to Amasa,‘ Aren’t you my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you aren’t captain of the army before me continually instead of Joab.’”

But I have all things and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet- smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well- pleasing sacrifice to God.My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out.But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.

Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.

For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.

that you receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of the saints, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self.

I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even eighty years old. He had provided the king with sustenance while he stayed at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.The king said to Barzillai,“ Come over with me, and I will sustain you with me in Jerusalem.”Barzillai said to the king,“ How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?Your servant would but just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”The king answered,“ Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to you. Whatever you request of me, that I will do for you.”

But now bring me a musician.” When the musician played, Yahweh’s hand came on him.He said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Make this valley full of trenches.’For Yahweh says,‘ You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals.This is an easy thing in Yahweh’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.

He said to them,“ Take nothing for your journey— no staffs, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money. Don’t have two coats each.Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.As many as don’t receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”

When he came, behold, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said,“ I have a message for you, captain.” Jehu said,“ To which of us all?” He said,“ To you, O captain.”

Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said,“ I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”

Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying,“ Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for Yahweh has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”

In the days when the judges judged, there was a famine in the land. A certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to live in the country of Moab with his wife and his two sons.The name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi. The names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem Judah. They came into the country of Moab and lived there.Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left with her two sons.They took for themselves wives of the women of Moab. The name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other was Ruth. They lived there about ten years.

At the end of seven years, the woman returned from the land of the Philistines. Then she went out to beg the king for her house and for her land.Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying,“ Please tell me all the great things that Elisha has done.”As he was telling the king how he had restored to life him who was dead, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, begged the king for her house and for her land. Gehazi said,“ My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.”When the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed to her a certain officer, saying,“ Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.”

Yahweh will return his blood on his own head, because he fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, and my father David didn’t know it: Abner the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.
