On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Nebuzaradan was an official of the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the seventh day of the fifth month.

In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month— that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

On August 14 of that year, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard and an official of the Babylonian king, arrived in Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month— which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guards, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.

Now on the seventh day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguards, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month( which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the royal guard who served the king of Babylon, arrived in Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

五月十日、就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒王十九年、侍立在巴比倫王面前的護衛長尼布撒拉旦來到耶路撒冷。他把永恆主的殿和王的宮室都燒掉，也燒了耶路撒冷一切的房屋，連大幢的房屋都放火燒。耶路撒冷四圍所有的城牆、那跟從護衛長的迦勒底人軍隊都給拆毁了。城裏剩下的餘民、和那些投降了巴比倫王的人、以及餘剩的大眾或匠人、護衛長尼布撒拉旦、都使他們流亡了去。但是護衛長仍然將猶大地最貧寒的一些人留下來做修理葡萄園和種地的人。

護衛長尼布撒拉旦將耶利米從拉瑪放走了以後，從永恆主那裏就有話傳與耶利米。當提他出來時，他還被鍊子捆鎖着，混雜於耶路撒冷和猶大一切將要流亡的人，一切正被拘擄要流亡到巴比倫去的人中間。護衛長將耶利米提出來，對他說：『永恆主你的上帝曾經說到這災禍要臨到這地方的事；如今永恆主使災禍來到，照他所說的行了；因為你們犯罪得罪了永恆主，沒有聽他的聲音，故此這事才臨到你們。現在你看，我今日解開了你手上的鍊子。你若看跟我往巴比倫去好，就去；我可以好好地照應你；你若看跟我往巴比倫去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地都在你面前；你看哪裏好、哪裏合宜去，就上哪裏去吧！

地上的王和世界上的居民都不信敵人和仇敵能進耶路撒冷的城門。

王的宮殿和人民的房屋、迦勒底人都放火焚燒；耶路撒冷的城牆他們都拆毁了。城裏剩下的餘民、和那些投降了巴比倫王的人、以及其餘的人民、護衛長尼布撒拉旦都使他們流亡到巴比倫去。但是護衛長尼布撒拉旦仍將人民中一些毫無所有的窮人留在猶大地，同時也給他們葡萄園和耕種地。至於耶利米呢、巴比倫王則下了命令、由護衛長尼布撒拉旦經手辦理，說：『你帶他去，好好地照應他，怎樣都不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就怎樣給他辦好啦。』於是護衛長尼布撒拉旦、和尼布沙斯班、要人首領、尼甲沙利薛、貴族首領、以及巴比倫王所有的首領、就打發了人。他們打發了人去，將耶利米從護衛監的院子提出來，交與沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，使他帶出去到家裏。於是耶利米就住在人民中間。

猶大王約雅斤開始流亡後三十七年、巴比倫王以未米羅達登極執掌國政那一年、十二月二十七日、他使猶大王約雅斤抬起頭來，出了監獄；

『萬軍之永恆主這麼說：四月的禁食和五月的禁食、七月的禁食和十月的禁食、都要變為猶大家高興歡喜的日子和快樂的節期；但是真實與和平你們總要喜愛。』

猶大王約雅斤出來投降巴比倫王，他和他母親、臣僕、大臣和內侍都出來；巴比倫王便拿住他，那是巴比倫王在位第八年。
