永恆主這麼說：『要把這個人登記為無子嗣位的，是儘他一生日子都不亨通順利的，因為他後裔中無一人亨通順利能坐大衛寶座，或再統治猶大的。』

非利士人把他抓住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘束着他；他就在監牢裏做推磨的人。

主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：巴王立他做王，他竟藐視了發咒起誓的話，違反了巴王跟他所立的約；因此他一定必死在巴比倫、巴王住的地方。敵人倒土堆築了壘要剪滅許多人時，法老雖領了大軍隊大羣眾人也不能在戰陣上跟他周旋呀。他藐視了發咒起誓的話，違犯了盟約；曾經舉手起了誓，還行這一切事，他必不能逃脫。因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捉住；我要把他帶到巴比倫，在那裏判罰他對我不忠實的罪。

好用鎖鍊捆他們的君王，用鐵鐐鎖他們的貴臣，

你、必不能逃脫他的手，你一定要被捉住，交在他手中；你必眼對眼地親眼見到巴比倫王；他必口對口地跟你說話；你必到巴比倫去。」

有人坐在幽暗漆黑中，被困苦和鐵鍊捆鎖着，因為他們違背了上帝說的話，藐視至高者的意旨，

王必悲哀，人君必披上淒涼，國中人民的手必都驚惶到發顫；我必照他們的行徑辦他們，按他們應受的判罰來判罰他們；他們就知道我乃是永恆主。』

以致你因眼中之所見、因你所要看到的事、而瘋狂。
