The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord— to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

The king stood next to his pillar. He agreed to the terms of the covenant in front of the Lord. The king promised to serve the Lord and obey his commands, directions and rules. He promised to obey them with all his heart and with all his soul. So he agreed to the terms of the covenant written down in that book. Then all the people committed themselves to the covenant as well.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant.

The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the Lord’s presence. He pledged to obey the Lord by keeping all his commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. In this way, he confirmed all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll, and all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

Next, the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant in the LORD’s presence to follow the LORD and to keep his commands, his decrees, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul in order to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book; all the people agreed to the covenant.

耶何耶大又使王和人民与耶和华立约，好使他们作耶和华的人民；又使王与人民立约。

她看见王子按着规例站在柱旁那里，首领和号手在王的旁边，当地所有的人民欢乐吹号。亚他利雅于是撕裂衣服，呼叫：“反了！反了！”

你们要顺从耶和华你们的神，敬畏他，遵守他的诫命，听从他的话，事奉他，紧靠他。

“今日你们全都站在耶和华你们的神面前；你们的首领、族长、长老、官长和以色列所有的男子，你们的小孩、妻子和在你营中的寄居者，以及为你们劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和华你们的神面前，为要叫你遵守耶和华你的神今日与你所立的约，和他向你所起的誓；这样，他今日可以立你作他的子民，他可以作你的神，正如他曾经对你说过的，又对你的列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起过誓的。“我不但与你们立这约，起这誓；而且也与那些今日和我们在这里，一同站在耶和华我们的神面前的人，以及那些今日不与我们同在这里的人立这约，起这誓。

愿赐平安的神，就是那凭着永约的血，把群羊的大牧人我们的主耶稣，从死人中领出来的那一位，

他们要询问往锡安的路，又面向锡安，说：‘来吧！我们要以那永不可忘记的约与耶和华连合。’

“以下是耶和华你们的神吩咐我教导你们的诫命、律例、典章，使你们在将要过去占领为业的地上遵行，

他们也立约，要一心一意寻求耶和华他们列祖的神。不寻求耶和华以色列的神的，无论男女老幼，都必处死。他们就大声欢呼，吹起号角，向耶和华起誓。

他又把约书拿过来，念给人民听；他们说：“耶和华吩咐的一切话，我们都必遵行和听从。”摩西就取了血来，洒在人民的身上，说：“看哪，这是立约的血，这约是耶和华按着这一切话与你们立的。”

这些是耶和华在摩押地，吩咐摩西与以色列人所立的约的话，是耶和华和他们在何烈山所立的约以外的。（本节在《马索拉文本》为28:69）

如果你凭真理、公正、公义，指着永活的耶和华起誓；列国就必因耶和华蒙福，也必以他为荣。”

王站在他的位上，在耶和华面前立约，要一心一意跟随耶和华，谨守他的诫命、法度和律例，实行这书上所记立约的誓言。他又使所有在耶路撒冷和便雅悯的人，都顺从这约。于是耶路撒冷的居民，都遵照他们列祖的神的约而行。约西亚在以色列人所属的各地，把一切可憎的物尽都除掉，使所有在以色列的人都事奉耶和华他们的神。约西亚在世的日子，人民都跟随耶和华他们列祖的神，总不离开。

耶何耶大与众民和王立约，要他们作耶和华的子民。

我劝你，因为你指着神起了誓，你就要遵守王的命令。

摩西下来，把耶和华的一切话和一切典章都向人民讲述；人民都同声回答，说：“耶和华吩咐的一切话，我们都必遵行。”

“以色列啊，现在耶和华你的神向你要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华你的神，行在他的一切道路上，爱他，一心一意事奉耶和华你的神，

现在由于这一切事，我们立下确实的约，写在文件上；我们的领袖、利未人和祭司，都在上面盖了印。”（本节在《马索拉文本》为10:1）

耶和华的律法是完全的，能使人心苏醒；耶和华的法度是坚定的，能使愚人有智慧。耶和华的训词是正直的，能使人心快乐；耶和华的命令是清洁的，能使人的眼睛明亮。耶和华的话语（“耶和华的话语”原文作“耶和华的敬畏”）是洁净的，能坚立到永远；耶和华的典章是真实的，完全公义；

现在，我们应当与我们的神立约，按着我主和那些因我们神的诫命而战兢的人所议定的，照着律法而行，送走这些妻子和她们所生的儿女。

众民对约书亚说：“我们必事奉耶和华我们的神，必听从他的话。”那一天，约书亚就与众民立约，在示剑为他们订立律例和典章。

“如果你们留心听我今日吩咐你们的诫命，爱耶和华你们的神，一心一意事奉他，

其余的民众：祭司、利未人、守门的、歌唱的、作殿役的，以及一切跟各地民族分离，归向神律法的和他们的妻子和儿女，所有有知识能够明白的，都坚持和他们的贵族兄弟参与发咒起誓，必遵行神藉他仆人摩西颁布的律法，必谨守遵行耶和华我们的主的一切诫命、典章和律例；我们必不把我们的女儿嫁给这地的外族人，也不为我们的儿子娶他们的女儿。如果这地的外族人带来货物或五谷，在安息日贩卖，我们在安息日或圣日决不向他们买什么；每逢第七年，我们必不耕种田地，并且豁免一切债务。我们又为自己立下法规，各人每年要缴纳四克银子作我们神的殿的经费，用来做陈设饼，常献的素祭，常献的燔祭，安息日、初一、定时的节期所献的祭；又为了做各样的圣物和为以色列人赎罪的赎罪祭，以及我们神殿里一切工作的费用。我们（包括祭司、利未人和民众）抽签决定按照我们的宗族，每年在指定的时间把木柴奉到我们神的殿，好照着律法上所写的，烧在耶和华我们神的坛上。又定下每年要把我们田地初熟之物，各样果树上一切初熟的果子，都带到耶和华的殿。又要照着律法所写的，把我们头胎的儿子和牲畜，就是我们头胎的牛羊，都带到我们神的殿，交给在我们神的殿供职的祭司。并且把我们最好的面粉和举祭，各样树上的果子、新酒、新油，都带给祭司，交到我们神殿的仓库；又要把我们田地出产的十分之一给利未人，利未人可以在我们所有城镇的耕地收取十分之一的出产。利未人收取十分之一出产的时候，要有一个作祭司的亚伦的子孙与他们在一起；利未人要从这十分之一中，抽取十分之一奉到我们神的殿，交到库房的贮藏室。以色列人和利未人要把五谷、新酒、新油作举祭，带到贮存圣所器皿的贮藏室，就是供职的祭司、守门的和歌唱的居住的地方。我们决不会疏忽供应我们神的殿。

摩西把以色列人都召了来，对他们说：“以色列人哪，我今日讲给你们听的律例和典章，你们要听从，要学习，要谨慎遵行。耶和华我们的神在何烈山与我们立了约。这约，耶和华不是与我们的列祖立的，而是与我们今日在这里还活着的人立的。

你要全心、全性、全力爱耶和华你的神。

可是神指责他们，说：“看哪，主说，日子要到了，我要与以色列家和犹大家订立新约。这新约不像从前我拉他们祖先的手，领他们出埃及的日子与他们所立的约。因为他们没有遵守我的约，我就不理会他们。这是主说的。主说：‘因为在那些日子以后，我要与以色列家所立的约是这样：我要把我的律法放在他们的心思里面，写在他们的心上。我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。他们各人必不用教导自己的邻居，和自己的同胞，说：你要认识主。因为所有的人，从最小到最大的，都必认识我。我也要宽恕他们的不义，决不再记着他们的罪恶。’”神既然说到新的约，就是把前约当作旧的了；那变成陈旧衰老的，就快要消逝了。

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及以后，对他们所说的法度、律例和典章；

有新约的中保耶稣，还有他所洒的血。这血所传的信息比亚伯的血所传的更美。

她一观看，见王站在殿门口的柱旁，众官长和吹号的人在王的周围；国民都欢乐吹号，又有歌唱的人用各种乐器领导众人歌颂。于是亚他利雅撕裂衣服，说：“反了！反了！”

现在我心中有意要和耶和华以色列的神立约，好使他的震怒转离我们。

“老师，律法中哪一条诫命是最重要的呢？”他回答：“你要全心、全性、全意爱主你的神。

如果将来你真的忘记了耶和华你的神，去随从别的神，事奉和敬拜他们，你们必定灭亡，这是我今日警告你们的。
