耶羅波安卻為邱壇、公山羊像和他造的牛犢像設立他自己的祭司。

耶和華啊，我罪惡深重，求你為了自己的名而赦免我。

我把國從大衛家奪走賜給你，你卻沒有像我僕人大衛那樣遵守我的誡命，全心聽從我，做我視為正的事，

「之後，耶和華必讓亞述王來攻擊你們。這是你全家及你的人民自以色列與猶大分裂以來從未有的日子。

在耶和華的眼中，這兩個青年罪惡深重，因為他們輕視獻給耶和華的祭物。

從此，以色列人反叛大衛家，一直到今天。以色列人聽說耶羅波安回來了，就請他到會眾面前，擁立他做以色列人的王。只有猶大支派仍然效忠大衛家。

耶穌回答說：「除非從上面賜下權柄給你，否則你無權處置我。因此，把我交給你的那個人罪更大。」

他又在各城池加強防禦，派將領駐守，供給食物、油和酒。

亞比米勒召見亞伯拉罕，對他說：「你為什麼要害我們？我什麼地方得罪了你？你竟使我和我的人民陷入大罪！你不該這樣做。」

摩西對亞倫說：「這些百姓對你做了什麼？你竟使他們陷入大罪中！」

我兒啊，不可這樣，我聽到在耶和華的子民中流傳著你們的壞名聲。
