似人不知而見知、似瀕死而實生、似受譴而弗亡、

似人不知而眾知、似死而實生、似受譴而弗亡、

似不為人知而眾知、似死而猶生、似受責而不致死、

雖似無聞、而實則闇然日章也；雖似將死、而實則生氣蓬勃也；雖似受刑、而實則真我無恙也；

known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed;

We are known, but people treat us as if we were unknown. We are dying, but we continue to live. We are beaten, but we are not killed.

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed;

We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.

as unknown, yet recognized; as dying, yet see— we live; as being disciplined, yet not killed;

as unknown and yet well known, as dying and yet behold, we are alive; as punished and yet not put to death,

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look— we live; as being disciplined yet not killed;

as unknown, and yet well- known; as dying and yet– see!– we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and not killed;

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver[ us];

But though[ I be] rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.And they glorified God in me.

And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul’s cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed[ me], desiring[ to have] judgment against him.

I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
