Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see[ him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Now if the fall of them[ be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;Knowing[ this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.But let patience have[ her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;And ye are Christ’s; and Christ[ is] God’s.

For the LORD God[ is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good[ thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Rejoice evermore.

That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

I speak not[ this] to condemn[ you]: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with[ you].Great[ is] my boldness of speech toward you, great[ is] my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without[ were] fightings, within[ were] fears.Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though[ it were] but for a season.Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great[ is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
