But even if I am poured out as a drink offering on the sacrificial service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So if you have not been faithful with worldly wealth, who will trust you with what is genuine?And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

Blessed are you who are hungry now, because you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, because you will laugh.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.

and you yourselves became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.

Get wisdom— how much better it is than gold! And get understanding— it is preferable to silver.

Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may also rejoice with great joy when his glory is revealed.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Now if their transgression brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness bring!

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction, we were encouraged about you through your faith.For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.How can we thank God for you in return for all the joy we experience before our God because of you,as we pray very earnestly night and day to see you face to face and to complete what is lacking in your faith?

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials,because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and willing to share,

But Peter said,“ I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

For I wrote to you with many tears out of an extremely troubled and anguished heart— not to cause you pain, but that you should know the abundant love I have for you.

So let no one boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come— everything is yours,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.

Rejoice always,

that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.

I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit,

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for his body, that is, the church.

Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.
