So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

So we don’t spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can’t see. That’s because what can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can’t be seen will last forever.

原來我們行事是藉著信，不是藉著眼見。

因為我們得救在於這盼望。然而，看得見的盼望，就不是盼望了；誰會盼望自己所看得見的呢？但如果我們盼望那看不見的，就要藉著忍耐來熱切等待。

信，是對所盼望的事有把握，對看不見的事有確據。

這些人都懷著信仰死去，沒有得到那些所應許的，卻遠遠地看見並且歡迎它們，又承認自己在地上是異鄉人，是寄居的。

原來世界上一切肉體的欲望、眼目的欲望、今生的驕傲，都不是出於父，而是出於世界的。世界和屬世的欲望正在消逝；但那遵行神旨意的，卻永遠長存。

這就是那應許，是他所應許我們的，就是永恆的生命。

他寧願選擇與神的子民同受虐待，也不願享受暫時的罪中之樂。他把為基督受的責罵看做是比埃及的財寶更大的財富，因為他注目那將來的報償。因著信，他不怕王的憤怒，離開了埃及，因為他恆心忍耐，如同看見了不可見的那一位。

仰望信仰的創始者和成終者耶穌。他為了那擺在他前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神寶座的右邊。其實，你們應當仔細地思想耶穌如何忍受了罪人的頂撞，這樣你們心裡就不會因喪氣而疲倦。

「結果這些人將離去，進入永遠的刑罰。然而，義人將進入永恆的生命。」

願我們的主耶穌基督自己和神我們的父，就是愛我們又在恩典中把永恆的安慰和美好的盼望賜給我們的那一位，
