緣此、主向亞瑪謝震怒、遣先知告之曰、斯諸神不能救拜之之民脫於爾手、爾反崇之奚為、

The anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why do you consult this people’s gods, which could not save their own people from your hand?”

The Lord was very angry with Amaziah. He sent a prophet to him. The prophet said,“ Why do you ask the gods of those people for advice? They couldn’t even save their own people from your power!”

Therefore the Lord was angry with Amaziah and sent to him a prophet, who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of a people who did not deliver their own people from your hand?”

This made the Lord very angry, and he sent a prophet to ask,“ Why do you turn to gods who could not even save their own people from you?”

So the LORD’s anger was against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why have you sought a people’s gods that could not rescue their own people from you?”

So the anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of the people who have not saved their own people from your hand?”

Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him,“ Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?”

Wherefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, who said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of thy hand?

So the Lord’s anger was against Amaziah, and He sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why have you sought a people’s gods that could not deliver their own people from your hand?”

Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

The LORD was angry at Amaziah and sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why are you following these gods that could not deliver their own people from your power?”

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burned against Amaziah, and he sent to him a prophet, who said to him,“ Why have you sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of your hand?”

亞瑪謝鼓起勇氣，率領他的人民到鹽谷去，擊殺了一萬西珥人。猶大人又生擒了一萬人，帶到一處崖頂，從崖頂把他們拋下去，使他們都摔得肢離破碎。

因為萬民的神都是虛空的偶像，但耶和華創造了諸天。

耶和華差派拿單去見大衛。於是拿單來到大衛那裡，對他說：“在一座城裡有兩個人，一個富有，一個貧窮。那富有的有極多牛羊，那貧窮的除了買來養的一隻母羊羔以外，甚麼也沒有。那小羊在他家裡和他的兒女一同長大，小羊吃他的食物，喝他杯中的飲料，睡在他的懷裡，就像他的女兒一樣。有一個旅客來到富翁那裡，他捨不得從自己的牛群羊群中取一頭出來，款待到他那裡來的旅客，卻取了那窮人的母羊羔，款待到他那裡來的客人。”大衛就非常惱怒那人，對拿單說：“我指著永活的耶和華起誓，作這事的人該死。他必須四倍賠償這羊羔，因為他作了這事，又因他沒有憐憫的心。”

彼勒俯伏，尼波彎腰；巴比倫人的偶像馱在走獸和牲口上。你們所抬的現在都成了重擔，成了疲乏的牲畜身上的重負。它們一同彎腰、俯伏，不能保護重負，它們自己反倒被擄去了。

關於吃祭過偶像的食物，我們知道世上的偶像算不得甚麼，也知道神只有一位，沒有別的神。

製造偶像的人，盡都是虛空的，他們所喜愛的，都沒有益處。他們的見證人，一無所見，一無所知，以致他們蒙羞。誰製造神像，或鑄造偶像，不想得到益處呢？

列國的偶像是金的、銀的，是人手所做的。它們有口，卻不能說話；有眼，卻不能看；有耳，卻不能聽；有鼻，卻不能聞；有手，卻不能摸；有腳，卻不能行；也不能用喉嚨發聲。做偶像的必和偶像一樣；凡是倚靠它們的，都必這樣。

你們不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。’你們竟沒有聽從我的話；你們作的是甚麼呢？

先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎見約沙法王，對他說：“你怎能幫助惡人，喜愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒必臨到你身上。

萬國的王啊！誰敢不敬畏你呢？這是你應得的。因為在列國所有的智慧人中，以及在他們的全國裡，沒有可以跟你相比的。

那時，瑪利沙人多大瓦的兒子以利以謝說預言攻擊約沙法，說：“因為你和亞哈謝結盟，耶和華必破壞你建造的船隻。”後來那些船隻果然受到破壞，不能開往他施去。

耶和華這樣說：“你們列祖在我身上究竟發現了甚麼不義，使他們遠離我，隨從虛無的偶像，自己也成了虛妄呢？

那時，神的靈臨到耶何耶大祭司的兒子撒迦利亞身上，他就站在比眾民高的地方，對他們說：“神這樣說：‘你們為甚麼違背耶和華的誡命，使你們不得亨通呢？因為你們離棄了耶和華，所以耶和華也離棄你們。’”

那時，先見哈拿尼來見猶大王亞撒，對他說：“因你倚靠亞蘭王，沒有倚靠耶和華你的神，所以亞蘭王的軍隊才可以脫離你的手。古實人和路比人不是有強大的軍隊嗎？戰車和馬兵不是極多嗎？只因你倚靠耶和華，耶和華就把他們交在你手裡。耶和華的眼目遍察全地，一心歸向他的，他必以大能扶助他們；你作這事太愚昧了。從今以後，你必常有戰爭。”

有一位神人來見亞瑪謝，說：“王啊，請不要領以色列的軍隊和你同去，因為耶和華不和以色列人，不和任何以法蓮的子孫同在。

我是說，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是獻給神；我卻不願意你們與鬼來往。
