“ Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed.

寅畏耶和華者、疾惡而弗為、志傲行暴者、皆我所深惡。

自謂此非巴比倫大城、我所建造者乎、我以之為國都、顯我能、彰我榮、言未竟、自天有聲曰、上帝有命、爾將失國、

以鞫眾、責諸不虔者、為其所行背戾、亦為其狂言讟主、彼從欲者、怨尤詬誶、出口矜誇、為利諂人、

使諸會知眾人心腹腎腸、我常監察、視其所行而報之、

耶和華曰、爾出言不遜、違逆乎我、爾曰、予以何詞悖爾哉、

蓋上帝之諭、活潑潑地、自有功效、利於鋒刃、凡神氣骨髓、無不剖刺、心之意念、無不鑒察、

願上帝至公權衡、則知我素行純良。

自謂雅各之上帝耶和華、必不鑒察兮、愚蠢之人、懵然無知、何日明此理兮、豈有造人耳目、而己反不能見聞兮、豈有督責異邦、指示以道、而不責人以善兮、

義人之道正直、主秉公義、使善人得履坦途。

故我尼布甲尼撒、頌美稱譽天王、其所為者惟秉大公、真實無妄、惟驕其志者、上帝使之卑微。

人之所為自視為善、惟耶和華鑒察其心。

勿諉曰不知、鑒察人心、保爾生命者、莫不悉爾隱微、彼豈不視人所行、而加賞罰。

上帝鑒察人心、豈不灼知乎此兮、

我主至大至能、智慧無窮兮。

［口底］［口結］即衡之之義、上帝衡爾、知有所缺、

爾所侮所欺者為誰、爾白眼而視、疾聲而呼、欲攻誰乎、豈非以色列族之聖者乎。

我耶和華鑒察人心、視人所行、而加報施。
