Year after year this man went up from his town to worship and sacrifice to the Lord Almighty at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were priests of the Lord.

Year after year Elkanah went up from his town to Shiloh. He went there to worship and sacrifice to the Lord who rules over all. Hophni and Phinehas served as priests of the Lord at Shiloh. They were the two sons of Eli.

Now this man used to go up year by year from his city to worship and to sacrifice to the Lord of hosts at Shiloh, where the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were priests of the Lord.

Each year Elkanah would travel to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies at the Tabernacle. The priests of the Lord at that time were the two sons of Eli— Hophni and Phinehas.

This man would go up from his town every year to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of Armies at Shiloh, where Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were the LORD’s priests.

耶和华你们的神从你们各支派中，选择了什么地方作立他名的居所，你们就当到那里求问他；把你们的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的礼物和手中的贡献、还愿祭和甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中头生的，都要带到那里去；在那里，就是在耶和华你们的神面前，你们和你们的家人都可以吃；并且要因你们手所作的一切事，都蒙耶和华你的神赐福而欢乐。

“每年三次，你要为我守节。

以色列全体会众聚集在示罗，把会幕竖立在那里，因为那地在他们面前被征服了。

每年逾越节，他父母都上耶路撒冷去。

哈拿在示罗吃喝完了，就起来。（那时以利祭司在耶和华殿的门柱旁边，坐在椅子上。）

你所有的男子，都要一年三次去见主耶和华以色列的神。

每年三次，就是在除酵节、七七节、住棚节，你所有的男丁都要在耶和华选择的地方，朝见耶和华你的神；但不可空手朝见耶和华。

以利加拿和他全家都上示罗去，向耶和华献年祭和还所许的愿；

“你们可以到示罗我的地方去，就是先前我名的居所，看看我因我子民以色列的邪恶，对那地方所行的。现在，因你们行了这一切事，我不断恳切告诫你们，你们却不听；我呼唤你们，你们却不答话。”这是耶和华的宣告。“所以我从前怎样对待示罗，将来也怎样对待你们所倚靠的那称为我名下的殿，以及我赐给你们和你们列祖的地方。

于是他们派人到示罗去，从那里把坐在二基路伯中间万军之耶和华的约柜抬来；以利的两个儿子，何弗尼和非尼哈，也与神的约柜一同来了。

他丢弃了在示罗的居所，就是他在世人中间居住的帐棚。

神的约柜也被抢去，以利的两个儿子何弗尼和非尼哈也死了。

我曾告诉他：‘我必按着他所知道的罪孽永远处罚他的家。这罪就是他的儿子自招咒诅，他也不责备他们。’

报信的人回答，说：“以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，伤亡惨重，你两个儿子何弗尼和非尼哈也都死了，民中被杀的甚多，神的约柜也被抢去了。”因为以利年老体重，报信的人一提到神的约柜，以利就从椅子上往后跌倒在门旁，颈骨折断而死。以利治理了以色列四十年。

你的两个儿子何弗尼和非尼哈所要遭遇的事，是给你的一个证据：他们二人必同日而死。

那时，你要把我吩咐你们的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的礼物和手中的贡献，以及你们向耶和华许愿要献的最美的一切还愿祭，都要带到耶和华你们的神选择作为立他名的地方。你们和你们的儿女、仆婢，以及住在你们城里的利未人，都要在耶和华你们的神面前欢乐，因为利未人在你们中间无分无业。你要自己谨慎，不可在你看见的任何地方献上你的燔祭；只要在耶和华从你的一个支派中拣选的地方，在那里献上你的燔祭，在那里行我吩咐你的一切事。

以利的两个儿子是无赖，不尊重耶和华，也不理会当时祭司待人民的规矩。凡是有人献祭，在煮肉的时候，祭司的仆人就来，手里拿着三齿的叉，把叉子插入煎盘里，或鼎里，或釜里，或锅里，叉子插上来的，祭司都拿去。所有到示罗来的以色列人，祭司都是这样待他们。还有，在焚烧脂油以前，祭司的仆人就来，对献祭的人说：“把祭肉交给祭司烧烤吧，因为他不会向你要煮过的肉，单要生的。”如果那人对仆人说：“必须先把脂油焚烧了，然后你才可以随意去拿。”他就说：“不可以，你现在就要给我，否则我就抢去。”这样，那两个青年人在耶和华面前所犯的罪很大，因为他们藐视献给耶和华的祭物。

神的殿在示罗有多少日子，但人为自己设立米迦所做的雕像也有多少日子。

一年三次，你所有的男丁都要朝见主耶和华的面。
