挪亞有信、蒙天主默示未見之事、遂敬畏主、而造方舟以救其家、以此罪世、且得由信之義、

主見人在世、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為奸惡、

亦未惜先古之世、以洪水罰彼不虔敬之惡世、惟救傳義道之挪亞等八人、

挪亞與妻子及子婦俱出、

洪水氾濫於地四旬、水勢洶洶、使舟起浮於地上、水於地上漲溢愈甚、舟溯洄於水面、水勢在地極其浩大、天下高山為之淹沒、水漲溢、高於諸山、十有五尺、山嶺皆沒、地上各類生物、飛鳥六畜百獸、動於地之昆蟲以及人類、皆滅亡、凡在陸地、有鼻可通呼吸者、咸就死亡、地上各類生物、自人及六畜百獸昆蟲飛鳥、皆滅於地、獨挪亞與在舟者得存、

抑爾藐視其鴻慈、寛容、恆忍、不知天主之仁愛、導爾悔改乎、乃爾以剛愎不悔之心、為己積怒、待天主震怒日、即其義鞫顯現之日、

耶穌曰、當竭力爭進窄門、我告爾、將有多人、求進而不得進、家主起而閉門後、爾曹立於外、叩門曰、主歟、主歟、為我啟之、彼將應曰、我不識爾自何而來、

以水之洗與道而潔之、使之成聖、

天主謂挪亞曰、凡有血氣者將被我翦滅、因其強暴徧行、我將滅之於地、爾以歌斐木歌斐木有譯柏木有譯浮木作方舟、分艙而造、以瀝青塗其內外、爾作舟、其式若此、長三百尺、尺原文作肘因古以肘為度下同廣五十尺、高三十尺、舟上作窗、高一尺、舟旁設門、分上中下三層、我必使洪水氾濫於地、以翦滅天下一切有血氣之生物、凡在地者必滅亡、我與爾立約、爾率妻子與子婦、悉登舟、爾將生物諸類、每類各二、一牝一牡、攜之登舟、與爾同保生命、飛鳥各從其類、走獸各從其類、昆蟲各從其類、每類各二、偕爾登舟、以保生命、爾當蓄諸食品、以備爾與物類所食者、挪亞悉遵天主命而行、主諭挪亞云、我於斯世、惟見爾為義於我前、爾偕眷屬、可登方舟、凡畜之潔者取七牝七牡、不潔之類取一牝一牡、飛鳥亦取七雌七雄、以遺種於世、越七日、我將雨於地四十晝夜、以所造諸生物、盡滅於地、挪亞悉遵主所命而行、洪水氾濫於地時、挪亞六百歲、挪亞與妻子及子婦、俱登方舟、以避洪水、

引至永生、其門窄、其路狹、得之者少、○

倘若天主、雖欲彰其怒、並示其能、仍恆忍寛容可怒當滅之器、

當是日挪亞與三子閃、含、雅弗、挪亞之妻、暨三子之婦、悉登方舟、

雖然、主仍俟焉、欲賜恩於爾、勃然而興、矜憐爾、蓋主乃施仁行義之天主、凡仰望主者、即為有福、

人子臨時、正如挪亞時、人皆飲食嫁娶、迨挪亞入方舟日、洪水至、盡滅其眾、又如羅得時、人皆飲食、貿易、栽種、建造、迨羅得出所多瑪之日、自天雨火與硫盡滅其眾、人子顯日亦如是、

人子之臨、正如挪亞之日、在洪水先、人皆飲食嫁娶、迨挪亞入方舟之日、不覺洪水忽至、淹滅其眾、人子之臨亦若是、

且當視我主之恆忍、為得救之由、如我愛兄保羅循所賦之之智慧、亦書之以達爾、

主眷念挪亞及偕其在舟之百獸六畜、天主遂使風吹地、水勢稍落、

二三子勿懼、爾父喜悅以國賜爾、

蓋我儕於天主前、為基督之馨香、於得救者、亦於沈淪者、於此為死之臭以致死、於彼為生之臭以致生、誰堪任此乎、
