因為，「所有的人都像草一樣，他們的一切榮耀就像草上的花；草會枯乾，花會凋謝，

因为：“凡有血气的，尽都如草；他的美荣都像草上的花。草必枯干，花必凋谢；

因为“凡血肉之躯的尽都如草，他的一切荣美像草上的花；草必枯干，花必凋谢，

因为“芸芸众生尽如草，荣华不过草上花；草必枯干花必残，

蓋曰、世人如草、其榮如花、草枯花謝、

經云、世人惟草、其榮如花、草枯花謝、

經載云、凡有血氣者如草、人之諸榮如草之花、草枯花謝、

經云：『人生如野草、榮華草上花草枯花亦謝：

For,“ All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,

It is written,“ All people are like grass. All their glory is like the flowers in the field. The grass dries up. The flowers fall to the ground.

for“ All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

As the Scriptures say,“ People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades.

For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

有聲音說：「呼喊吧！」我就問：「我呼喊什麼呢？」凡有血肉的都像草，他們一切的榮美就像野地的花。草必枯乾，花必凋零，因為耶和華的氣息吹在其上——這民真是草啊——草必枯乾，花必凋零，但我們神的話卻永遠堅立。

至於世人，他的年日如草一樣，他興旺如野地的花，

你們不知道明天是什麼、生命是什麼！你們不過是一陣雲霧，出現片刻，隨後就消失了。

因為他們就像青草快被割掉，也像青綠的嫩草即將衰敗。

富有的應當以自己被降卑而誇耀，因為他將要像草上的花那樣消逝。太陽帶著熱氣升起，草地枯萎，草上的花也凋謝，它表面的美麗也就消逝了；照樣，富有的人在他的追求中，也將衰殘。

儘管惡人如牧草茂盛，所有做壞事的人都興旺，他們也要被永遠除滅。

願他們像屋頂上的草，尚未長大就枯乾——

我的心如牧草，受摧殘而枯乾，以致我忘記了吃飯。

你把他們如水沖去，他們就沉睡；他們如同清晨生長的草——
