你們得以重生，不是出於會朽壞的種子，而是出於不朽壞的種子，是藉著神永活長存的話語，

蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

You have been born again by means of the living word of God. His word lasts forever. You were not born again from a seed that will die. You were born from a seed that can’t die.

願頌讚歸於神——我們主耶穌基督的父！他照著自己極大的憐憫，藉著耶穌基督從死人中的復活，使我們重生，得著永生的盼望，

神的話語是有生命的，是有功效的；比任何雙刃的劍更鋒利，能刺透到魂和靈的分界，以及骨節和骨髓的分界，也能辨明心中的思想和意念；

因為這會朽壞的，必須穿上不朽壞的；這會死的，必須穿上不死的。一旦這會朽壞的穿上那不朽壞的，這會死的穿上那不死的，經上所記的話就會應驗了：「死亡被勝利吞滅了！」

他們不是由血緣、或肉體的意願、或人的意志所生的，而是由神所生的。

耶穌回答說：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不重生，就不能見神的國。」

耶穌回答：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不是由水和聖靈所生的，就不能進入神的國。

賜人生命的是靈，肉體沒有什麼用。我對你們說的話就是靈，就是生命。

但主的話卻永遠長存。」所傳給你們的福音就是這話。

我們知道：凡是由神所生的人，就不會繼續犯罪；原來，由神所生的那一位保守著他，那惡者也就不碰他。

天和地將要消逝，但是我的話絕不會消逝。

他照著自己的旨意，藉著真理的話語生了我們，要使我們在他所造的萬物中成為一種初熟的果子。

萬有是藉著他而成的；凡所成的，沒有一樣不是藉著他而成的。

甚至用偶像，就是會朽壞的人、飛禽、走獸、爬行動物的形像，來取代那不朽之神的榮耀。

萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪！我要斥責你們的後裔，也要把糞便，就是節期祭牲的糞便塗在你們臉上；人要把你們與糞便一同抬走。
