“如果有人得罪他的邻居被迫起誓，他来到这殿在你的祭坛前起誓的时候，

“如果有人得罪他的鄰居被迫起誓，他來到這殿在你的祭壇前起誓的時候，

『人若得罪他的鄰舍，有人叫他用一種咒語來起誓，他來到這殿，在你的祭壇前起誓；

人若獲罪於鄰、令其發誓、則至此室、在爾壇前發誓、

如人與同儕有所干犯、使至此殿、發誓於壇前、

人若獲罪於人、乃使其發誓、以徵其言、遂至此殿主之祭臺前發誓、

“ When anyone wrongs their neighbor and is required to take an oath and they come and swear the oath before your altar in this temple,

If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house;

“ When someone is accused of sinning against his neighbor and the latter pronounces a curse on the alleged offender before your altar in this temple, be willing to forgive the accused if the accusation is false.

“ If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house;

倘若沒捉到盜賊，鄰居就要到審判官那裡證明自己沒有偷拿。倘若二人之間有什麼糾紛，無論是為了牛、驢、羊、衣服或失物，爭執的雙方要把案件呈報審判官，審判官判誰敗訴，誰就要賠償雙倍。倘若有人把驢、牛、羊或別的牲畜交給鄰居看管，牲畜死傷或被人搶走，並且無人看見，看守的人就要在耶和華面前起誓沒有動鄰居的東西，這樣失主就應當作罷，看守的人不用賠償。

免得我因為飽足就不認你，說：「耶和華是誰呢？」又恐怕我因窮困而偷竊，以致辱沒我上帝的名。

「祭司要把那婦人帶到耶和華面前，用陶器盛一些聖水，從聖幕的地上取一些塵土撒在水中，然後讓那婦人站在耶和華面前，解開她的頭髮，把那素祭放在她手裡。祭司要拿著帶給罪人咒詛的苦水，叫她發誓。祭司要對她說，『如果你沒有出軌，沒有背著丈夫與人通姦，就不會被這苦水所害。如果你曾出軌，背著丈夫與人通姦，你喝下這苦水後，願耶和華使你大腿消瘦、肚腹腫脹、不能生育，使你被同胞咒詛和唾棄。』她要說，『阿們！阿們！』

「如果有人當庭作證，卻不肯把自己所知所見的說出來，就是犯罪，要擔負罪責。

「如果有人得罪鄰舍，被叫到這殿中，在你的壇前起誓，求你從天上垂聽，在你眾僕人當中施行審判，按他們的行為罰惡賞善。
