求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人——你以色列子民的罪，教導他們走正道，降下甘霖滋潤你賜給你子民作產業的土地。

主耶和華啊，倘若你追究我們的罪過，誰能站得住呢？然而，你赦免我們，所以你當受敬畏。

主啊，求你垂聽！主啊，求你赦免！主啊，求你應允，立刻行動！我的上帝啊，為你自己的緣故，求你不要耽延，因為這城和這民都屬於你的名下。」

在上帝面前不要冒失開口，不可急於發言，因為祂在天上，你在地上。所以，你要少言寡語。

「天上的上帝耶和華啊，你是偉大而可畏的上帝，你向愛你、守你誡命的人守約，施慈愛。僕人在你面前晝夜為你的眾僕人以色列民祈禱，求你睜眼察看，側耳傾聽。我承認以色列人向你所犯的罪，以及我和我的家族所犯的罪。

求你從天上的居所垂聽他們的祈求，為他們伸張正義，

你赦免了你子民的罪過，遮蓋了他們所有的過犯。（細拉）

「你們應當這樣禱告，『我們天上的父，願人們都尊崇你的聖名，

求你從天上的居所垂聽，應允他們的祈求，好叫天下萬民都像你的以色列子民一樣認識你的名，敬畏你，並知道我建造的這殿屬於你的名下。

而這些被稱為我名下的子民若謙卑下來，祈禱、尋求我的面，離開惡道，我必從天上垂聽，赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的土地。

祂從天上俯視人間，從祂的居所察看世上萬民。

那至高至上、永遠長存的聖者說：「我住在至高至聖之處，但我也跟痛悔、謙卑的人同住，使他們心靈振作。

在天上做王的耶和華啊！我仰望你。

饒恕我們的罪，就像我們饒恕了得罪我們的人。

誰能與我們的上帝耶和華相比？祂坐在至高之處，俯視諸天和大地。

你的子民在這裡居住，為你的名建造殿宇，說，『如果我們遭遇禍患，無論是戰禍、瘟疫或饑荒，當我們在急難中站在這殿前向你呼求時，你必定垂聽，施行拯救，因為你的名在這殿裡。』
