Meanwhile, the messenger who went to get Micaiah said to him,“ Look, all the prophets are promising victory for the king. Be sure that you agree with them and promise success.”

那去召米该雅的使者对他说：“看哪，众先知都异口同声向王说吉言，你也跟他们说一样的话，说吉言吧！”

那去召米该雅的使者对他说：“看哪，众先知都异口同声向王说吉言，你也跟他们说一样的话，说吉言吧！”

去召米该雅的使者对米该雅说：“众先知都异口同声地向王说吉言，你就像他们一样说些吉言吧。”

那去召米该雅的使者对米该雅说：“看哪，这里的众先知都异口同声地对王说吉话，请你与他们一样说吉话。”

那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說：「眾先知一口同音地都向王說吉言，你不如與他們說一樣的話，也說吉言。」

那去召米該雅的使者對他說：「看哪，眾先知都異口同聲向王說吉言，你也跟他們說一樣的話，說吉言吧！」

那去召米該雅的使者對他說：「看哪，眾先知都異口同聲向王說吉言，你也跟他們說一樣的話，說吉言吧！」

去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說：「眾先知都異口同聲地向王說吉言，你就像他們一樣說些吉言吧。」

那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說：“看哪，這裡的眾先知都異口同聲地對王說吉話，請你與他們一樣說吉話。”

那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說；『看哪，眾神言人都一口同聲向王說吉祥話；你的話也必須像他們中間一位的話；總要說吉祥話呀。』

往召米該雅之使謂之曰、諸先知眾口一辭、以吉語告王、請爾與彼同辭、告以吉語、

奉遣之使告米該亞曰、諸先知眾口一辭、以休徵進告於王、爾亦當言與彼無異。

往召米該雅之使者、謂米該雅曰、眾先知之言、如出一口、皆以吉言告王、不如爾言與彼無異、亦告以吉言、

The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him,“ Look, the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably.”

A messenger went to get Micaiah. He said to him,“ Look. The other prophets agree. All of them are saying the king will have success. So agree with them. Say the same thing they do.”

And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him,“ Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.”

The messenger who went to call Micaiah instructed him,“ Look, the words of the prophets are unanimously favorable for the king. So let your words be like theirs, and speak favorably.”

Then the messenger who went to summon Micaiah spoke to him saying,“ Behold now, the words of the prophets are unanimously favorable to the king. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.”

Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,“ Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement.”

And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good.

The messenger who went to call Micaiah instructed him,“ Look, the words of the prophets are unanimously favorable for the king. So let your words be like theirs, and speak favorably.”

And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets[ declare] good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak[ that which is] good.

Now the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him,“ Look, the prophets are in complete agreement that the king will succeed. Your words must agree with theirs; you must predict success.”

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,“ See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”

“ The people entertain the king with their wickedness, and the princes laugh at their lies.

Don’t bother us with your prophecies here in Bethel. This is the king’s sanctuary and the national place of worship!”But Amos replied,“ I’m not a professional prophet, and I was never trained to be one. I’m just a shepherd, and I take care of sycamore fig trees.But the Lord called me away from my flock and told me,‘ Go and prophesy to my people in Israel.’Now then, listen to this message from the Lord:“ You say,‘ Don’t prophesy against Israel. Stop preaching against my people.’But this is what the Lord says:‘ Your wife will become a prostitute in this city, and your sons and daughters will be killed. Your land will be divided up, and you yourself will die in a foreign land. And the people of Israel will certainly become captives in exile, far from their homeland.’”

While you did all this, I remained silent, and you thought I didn’t care. But now I will rebuke you, listing all my charges against you.

Only fools say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

Suppose a prophet full of lies would say to you,“ I’ll preach to you the joys of wine and alcohol!” That’s just the kind of prophet you would like!

“ Don’t say such things,” the people respond.“ Don’t prophesy like that. Such disasters will never come our way!”Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

They tell the seers,“ Stop seeing visions!” They tell the prophets,“ Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies.Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about your‘ Holy One of Israel.’”

I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me,“ Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!

The wicked think,“ God isn’t watching us! He has closed his eyes and won’t even see what we do!”

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.For,“ Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.
