一天，亞哈對拿伯說：「你的葡萄園靠近我的王宮，你把它讓給我作菜園吧。我可以用更好的葡萄園來跟你交換，如果你願意，我也可以按地價付你錢。」

亚哈对拿伯说：“你将你的葡萄园给我作菜园，因为是靠近我的宫；我就把更好的葡萄园换给你，或是你要银子，我就按着价值给你。”

亚哈对拿伯说：“把你的葡萄园给我作菜园，因为它靠近我的宫，我就把更好的葡萄园换给你。你若要银子，我就按着价钱给你。”

亚哈对拿伯说：“把你的葡萄园给我作菜园，因为它靠近我的宫，我就把更好的葡萄园换给你。你若要银子，我就按着价钱给你。”

亞哈對拿伯說：“把你的葡萄園讓給我，我可以用作菜園，因為你的葡萄園靠近我的王宮。我要把一個更好的葡萄園與你交換。如果你喜歡，我也可以按市價給你銀子。”

亞哈告訴拿伯說：『你將你的葡萄園給我，我可以用作菜園，因為那是靠近我的宮室旁邊；我就將比這更好的葡萄園換給你；或是你若看為更好，我就按着價值給你銀子。』

亞哈謂拿伯曰、爾之葡萄園、鄰於我宮、給我為圃、我易以尤佳之園、爾若欲得其值、我則予爾以金、

亞哈告拿泊曰、爾之園囿、鄰我宮闈、爾當給我為圃、或易以佳園、或予以所值、任爾擇焉。

亞哈謂拿伯曰、爾葡萄園、近我之宮、爾以之予我為蔬圃、我予爾更佳之葡萄園以易之、如爾願鬻、我則以其所值之金予爾、

Ahab said to Naboth,“ Let me have your vineyard to use for a vegetable garden, since it is close to my palace. In exchange I will give you a better vineyard or, if you prefer, I will pay you whatever it is worth.”

Ahab said to Naboth,“ Let me have your vineyard. It’s close to my palace. I want to use it for a vegetable garden. I’ll trade you a better vineyard for it. Or, if you prefer, I’ll pay you what it’s worth.”

And after this Ahab said to Naboth,“ Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near my house, and I will give you a better vineyard for it; or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its value in money.”

One day Ahab said to Naboth,“ Since your vineyard is so convenient to my palace, I would like to buy it to use as a vegetable garden. I will give you a better vineyard in exchange, or if you prefer, I will pay you for it.”

So Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying,“ Give me your vineyard so I can have it for a vegetable garden, since it is right next to my palace. I will give you a better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, I will give you its value in silver.”

And Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying,“ Give me your vineyard so that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is close beside my house, and I will give you a better vineyard in place of it; if you prefer, I will give you what it is worth in money.”

So Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying,“ Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near, next to my house; and for it I will give you a vineyard better than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.”

And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house; and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it: or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.

So Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying,“ Give me your vineyard so I can have it for a vegetable garden, since it is right next to my palace. I will give you a better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, I will give you its value in silver.”

And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it[ is] near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it;[ or], if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.

Ahab said to Naboth,“ Give me your vineyard so I can make a vegetable garden out of it, for it is adjacent to my palace. I will give you an even better vineyard in its place, or if you prefer, I will pay you silver for it.”

Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying,“ Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near my house; and I will give you for it a better vineyard than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.”

他會奪去你們最好的田地、葡萄園和橄欖園，送給他的臣僕。

「『不可貪戀別人的妻子，不可貪圖別人的房屋、田地、僕婢、牛驢或其他任何物品。』

你是園中的甘泉，是活水的井，是從黎巴嫩流下來的溪水。

那些渴望發財的人卻陷入誘惑、網羅和許多愚蠢有害的慾望中，以致落入敗壞和滅亡中。

那片土地不像你們離開的埃及。在埃及你們撒種後，要像澆菜園一樣辛勤灌溉。

開墾花圃園囿，種植各種果樹，

亞伯蘭對撒萊說：「婢女在你手中，隨你處置。」於是，撒萊苦待夏甲，夏甲就逃走了。

其實每個受到誘惑的人都是受自己的私慾慫恿和誘惑。私慾懷了胎，便生出罪，罪一旦長成，便帶來死亡。

亞吉便叫大衛過來，對他說：「我憑永活的耶和華起誓，你一向忠心耿耿，自從你投奔我以來，我沒發現你有什麼過錯，我很願意你與我一同作戰，只是眾首領不贊成。

接著，祂對眾人說：「你們要小心防範一切的貪心，因為人的生命並不在於家道富足。」

「不可貪戀別人的房屋，不可貪戀別人的妻子、僕婢、牛驢或其他任何物品。」

「為自己的家積蓄不義之財、在高處搭窩躲避災禍的人啊，你們有禍了！你們陰謀毀滅各族，以致自辱己家，自害己命。牆上的石頭必高聲指控你們，房子的梁木必同聲回應。

女人見那棵樹上的果子可口，賞心悅目，可以使人有智慧，就摘下來吃了。她也把果子給跟她在一起的丈夫，他也吃了。

可是，你一心貪圖不義之財，濫殺無辜，橫徵暴斂。」

猶大王亞哈謝見狀，就沿著通往伯哈干的道路逃跑。耶戶在後面追，並大喊：「射死他！」他們在以伯蓮附近的姑珥坡射傷了亞哈謝。他逃到米吉多後，傷重身亡。

撒母耳聽到他們要求立一個王治理他們，心中不悅，就向耶和華禱告。
