即或不然，王啊，你当知道，我们绝不事奉你的神明，也不拜你所立的金像。”当时，尼布甲尼撒怒气填胸，向沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌变了脸色，命令把窑烧热，比平常热七倍；又命令他军中的几个壮士，把沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌捆起来，扔在烈火的窑中。这三人穿着内袍、外衣、头巾和其他的衣服，被捆起来扔在烈火的窑中。因为王的命令紧急，窑又非常热，那抬沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌的人都被火焰烧死。但是这三个人，沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌被捆绑着，掉进烈火的窑中。那时，尼布甲尼撒王惊奇，急忙站起来，对谋士说：“我们捆起来扔在火里的不是三个人吗？”他们回答王说：“王啊，是的。”王说：“看哪，我看见有四个人，并没有捆绑，在火中行走，也没有受伤；那第四个的相貌好像神明的儿子。”

“你们审判的时候，不可不公正；不可偏护贫穷人，也不可看重有权势人的脸，总要公平审判你的邻舍。

众人谋害撒迦利亚，照着王的吩咐，在耶和华殿的院内用石头打死他。

以法莲因喜爱遵从荒谬的命令，就受欺压，在审判中被压碎。

因为你遵守暗利的规条，行亚哈家一切所行的，顺从他们的计谋；因此，我必使你荒凉，使你的居民遭人嗤笑，你们也必担当我百姓的羞辱。

王吩咐左右的侍卫说：“你们转身去杀耶和华的祭司吧！因为他们帮助大卫，知道大卫逃跑却不告诉我。”但王的臣仆都不愿动手杀耶和华的祭司。

“不可散布谣言；不可与恶人连手作恶意的见证。不可附和群众作恶；不可在诉讼中附和群众歪曲公正，作歪曲的见证；

耶户写第二封信给他们，说：“你们若归顺我，听从我的话，明日这时候，要带着你们主人众儿子的首级，来到耶斯列我这里。”那时王的儿子七十人都住在城中教养他们的那些尊贵人家里。信一到他们那里，他们就把王的七十个儿子杀了，将首级装在筐里，送到耶斯列，耶户那里。

彼得和约翰回答他们说：“听从你们，不听从神，在神面前合理不合理，你们自己判断吧！

但是接生婆敬畏神，不照埃及王的吩咐去做，却让男孩活着。

因为在梦中得到主的指示，不要回去见希律，他们就从别的路回自己的家乡去了。
