By the word of the Lord a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering.

A man of God went from Judah to Bethel. He had received a message from the Lord. He arrived in Bethel just as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.

And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings.

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came, however, from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

Now behold, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, while Jeroboam was standing at the altar to burn incense.

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Jehovah unto Beth- el: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came from Judah to Bethel by a revelation from the Lord while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Just then a prophet from Judah, sent by the LORD, arrived in Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing near the altar ready to offer a sacrifice.

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

耶罗波安定八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，自己上坛献祭。他在伯特利这样做，向他所铸的牛犊献祭，又把他所立丘坛的祭司安置在伯特利。他在八月十五日，就是他自己心中所定的月份，在伯特利上到自己所造的祭坛；他为以色列人定了一个节期，亲自上坛烧香。

他说：“我看见的这碑是什么呢？”那城里的人对他说：“这是神人的坟墓，他从犹大来，宣告了王向伯特利的坛所做的这些事。”

但上帝的话临到神人示玛雅，说：

我们照主的话告诉你们一件事：我们这活着还存留到主来临的人，绝不会在那已经睡了的人之先。

万军之耶和华说：“从日出之地到日落之处，我的名在列国中必尊为大。在各处，人必奉我的名烧香，献洁净的供物，因为我的名在列国中必尊为大。

攻城的迦勒底人必来放火焚烧这城和城里的房屋；人曾在这房顶上向巴力烧香，向别神献浇酒祭，惹我发怒。

“从亚们的儿子犹大王约西亚十三年直到今日，在这二十三年中，常有耶和华的话临到我；我也一再对你们传讲，只是你们不听从。

所罗门其余的事，自始至终，不都写在拿单先知的书上和示罗人亚希雅的《预言书》上，以及易多先见论尼八儿子耶罗波安的《默示书》上吗？

他们阻止乌西雅王，对他说：“乌西雅啊，给耶和华烧香不是你的事，而是亚伦子孙的事，他们是分别为圣来烧香的祭司。你出圣殿吧！因为你犯了罪，耶和华上帝必不使你得尊荣。”

给以色列人作纪念，为要叫亚伦子孙之外的人不得近前来，在耶和华面前烧香，免得他和可拉与同他一伙的人一样，正如耶和华藉摩西所吩咐的。

那带神人回来的先知听见了，就说：“这是那违背了耶和华指示的神人，所以耶和华把他交给狮子；狮子撕裂他，咬死他，正如耶和华对他说的话。”

那时，犹大城镇的人和耶路撒冷的居民要哀求他们烧香所供奉的神明；只是遭难的时候，这些神明一点也不能拯救他们。

有一个人是先知的门徒，遵照耶和华的话对他同伴说：“你打我吧！”那人不肯打他。

另有一位天使拿着金香炉来，站在祭坛旁边；有许多香赐给他，要和众圣徒的祈祷一同献在宝座前的金坛上。

坛也破裂了，坛上的灰倾倒出来，正如神人遵照耶和华的话所设的预兆。

因为耶和华的话这样吩咐我说：‘不可吃饭喝水，也不可从你去的原路回来。’”

因为他遵照耶和华的话，指着伯特利的坛和撒玛利亚各城丘坛神殿所宣告的话必定应验。”
