西門伯鐸祿對曰：『子乃基督、永生天主之子也。』

望我兄弟、彼此相愛。蓋愛德本乎天主；凡懷愛德者、乃係天主所生、且必體認天主。

今者爾之靈魂、已因服膺聖道而致潔矣；應能身體誠實無妄之愛德也。務望一秉赤誠、彼此相愛。蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

然則爾將何以辨識天主之聖神乎？曰：凡承認耶穌基督確曾降世為人者、皆受天主之靈感者也。

須知吾輩已因實行友愛之道、而出死入生，而彼不具愛德者、則依然未脫死域也。

若有人擁有斯世之財富、見其兄弟有急、而閉塞其同情之心、則安得有天主之愛德、存於其衷乎。

苟有人自言吾愛天主、而猶嫉惡其兄弟、是亦妄人也已。夫日常所見之兄弟、彼且不知愛焉、尚能愛其向所未見之天主乎。

可頌哉、吾主耶穌基督之天主聖父也！天主大慈大悲、藉耶穌基督之復活、予吾人以新生、

遵路而行、至有水處、宦者曰：『是地有泉、何妨受洗、』

故凡天主所生者、不犯罪、良以天主之道根、常存其心中故也。蓋既為天主之所生、尚能沉溺於罪中乎。
