當然，這並不表示上帝的話落了空，因為從以色列生的，不一定都是以色列人，

我要賜他們永生，他們永不滅亡。沒有人能從我的手裡把他們搶走。我父把羊賜給我，祂比萬物都大，沒有人能從祂手中把羊搶走。我和父本為一。」

連我所信賴、吃我飯的摯友也用腳踢我。

不過，他們猖狂不了多久，因為他們的愚昧行徑必暴露在眾人面前，就像雅尼和佯庇的下場一樣。

你們蒙揀選是按照父上帝預先定好的旨意，藉著聖靈得以聖潔，好順服耶穌基督，並靠祂的血得到潔淨。願上帝賜給你們豐豐富富的恩典和平安！願頌讚歸於我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！祂有無窮的憐憫，藉著耶穌基督從死裡復活使我們獲得重生，有活潑的盼望，可以承受那不會朽壞、沒有污點、不會衰殘、為你們存留在天上的產業。你們這些因信而蒙上帝用大能保守的人，必能得到那已經預備好、在末世要顯明的救恩。

種子落在石頭地上，是指人聽了道後，立刻歡歡喜喜地接受了，但因為他心裡沒有根基，不過是暫時接受，一旦為道遭受患難或迫害，就立刻放棄了信仰；

屬於我的枝子如果不結果子，祂就把它剪掉；如果結果子，祂便修剪它，讓它結更多的果子。

因為假基督和假先知將出現，行很大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝揀選的子民。

現在的情況也是一樣，上帝按照揀選的恩典留下了少數人。既然說是出於恩典，就不再基於行為，不然恩典就不再是恩典了。

凡父賜給我的人，必到我這裡來。到我這裡來的，我總不丟棄他。因為我從天上下來，不是要成就自己的旨意，而是要成就差我來者的旨意。差我來者的旨意是，祂所賜給我的，我一個也不失掉，在末日我要叫他們復活。

「聽說有幾個人從我們這裡去了你們那裡，教導你們必須接受割禮並遵守摩西的律法。他們的言論使你們大感困惑。其實我們從來沒有授權他們這樣做。

我是耶穌基督的奴僕、雅各的兄弟猶大，現在寫信給蒙父上帝呼召、眷愛、被耶穌基督看顧的人。

如果他們藉著認識我們的主和救主耶穌基督，已經擺脫了世俗的污穢，但後來又被這些事纏住、俘虜了，他們的處境會比以前更糟糕。他們明知道正路，卻背棄了傳給他們的神聖誡命，這樣倒不如不知道的好。

但我們都不是退後走向滅亡的人，而是因為有信心而靈魂得救的人。
