任何靈若不承認耶穌，就不是從上帝來的，而是敵基督者的靈。以前你們聽說敵基督者要來，現在他已經在世上了。

因為假基督和假先知將出現，行很大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝揀選的子民。

親愛的弟兄姊妹，不要什麼靈都信，總要試驗那些靈是否出於上帝，因為世上已經出現了許多假先知！

你要知道，末世必有艱難的日子，因為那時的人都自私自利、貪愛錢財、狂妄自誇、驕傲自負、說毀謗話、違背父母、忘恩負義、心不聖潔、冷漠無情、不願和解、好說讒言、毫無節制、蠻橫兇暴、不愛良善、出賣朋友、任意妄為、自高自大、沉溺享樂、不愛上帝，虛有敬虔的外表，卻無敬虔的實質。你要避開這樣的人。這些人溜進別人家裡，哄騙那些意志薄弱的婦女。那些婦女心中充滿罪惡，受各種邪情私慾的驅使，

聖靈明確地說，日後必有人離棄真道，去追隨那些迷惑人的邪靈和鬼魔的學說。這些學說是出自假冒偽善的騙子，他們良心喪盡，麻木不仁，禁止人結婚和吃某些食物。其實那些食物是上帝創造的，為了讓相信並且明白真理的人存感恩的心領受。

因為有一天，人們會厭倦純正的教導，耳朵發癢，尋找許多迎合他們私慾的老師。他們掩耳不聽真理，反而偏向無稽之談。

最重要的是，你們要知道在末世的時候必出現喜歡冷嘲熱諷、為所欲為的人。他們說：

將有很多人冒我的名來，說，『我是基督』，欺騙許多人。

我知道，在我離開以後，一定會有兇惡的豺狼闖進你們中間，殘害羊群。就是你們中間也會有人起來歪曲真理，引誘門徒跟隨他們。

許多假先知也會出現，迷惑許多人。
