此生顯著、我儕曾見之而為證、且以語爾、即永生也、乃原偕父而顯著於我儕者、

永生之道、與父共在、顯著於我、我見之為證、即以授爾、

其生命已顯著、我見之為證、而以此永生、即原與父同在、而顯著於我儕者傳於爾、

此無始無終、向與聖父相俱之生命、曾現身於世。其在世時、吾人既得親炙、爰為作證、而宣之於爾。

The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

This life has appeared. We have seen him. We are witnesses about him. And we announce to you this same eternal life. He was already with the Father. He has appeared to us.

敬虔的奥秘是公认为伟大的：神在肉身显现，被圣灵称义，被天使看见，被传于外邦，被世人信服，被接在荣耀里。

犯罪的是出于魔鬼，因为魔鬼从起初就犯罪。神的儿子显现出来，是为了要毁灭魔鬼的作为。

你们也要作见证，因为你们从起初就与我同在。”

这真理是在盼望那无谎言的神在万古之先所应许的永生，

“耶和华在造化的起头，在太初创造万物之先，就有了我。从亘古，从太初，未有大地以前，我已被立。没有深渊，没有大水的泉源，我已出生。大山未曾奠定，小山未有之先，我已出生。那时，他还没有创造大地和田野，并世上头一撮尘土。他立高天，我在那里，他在渊面的周围划出圆圈，上使穹苍坚硬，下使渊源稳固，为沧海定出范围，使水不越过界限，奠定大地的根基。那时，我在他旁边为工程师，天天充满喜乐，时时在他面前欢笑，

耶稣对他说：“我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉着我，没有人能到父那里去。

太初有道，道与神同在，道就是神。这道太初与神同在。

你们杀了那生命的创始者，神却叫他从死人中复活；我们都是这事的见证人。

但如今藉着我们的救主基督耶稣的显现已经表明出来；他把死废去，藉着福音，将不朽的生命彰显出来。

我从父而来，到了世界，又离开世界，到父那里去。”

所以，我这同作长老，作基督受苦的证人和分享将来所要显现的荣耀的人，勉励在你们中间的长老们：

父啊，现在求你使我在你面前得荣耀，就是在未有世界以前，我同你享有的荣耀。

耶稣从死人中复活后向门徒显现，这是第三次。

除了从天降下的人子，没有人升过天。

这耶稣，神已经使他复活了，我们都是这事的见证人。

不是显现给所有的人看，而是显现给神预先所拣选为他作见证的人看，就是我们这些在他从死人中复活以后和他同吃同喝的人。

我所说的是在我父那里看见的；你们所做的是在你们的父那里听到的。”
