Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

凡我兄弟、應安心忍耐以俟主來。夫農夫之望收穫嘉穀、必須弗助弗忘、以待秋霖春雨之膏澤也。

蓋人人皆須立於基督之審判臺前各依其本身所為之善惡、而受其報答焉。

是日也、天主將以耶穌基督審判人之隱私、如我福音所言也。

要之各人之工作、終必昭然若揭、無可隱匿。在主之日、主將以炬火燭照各人之工程、且加以煆煉焉。

蓋稱許自己者、未足嘉也；惟為天主所許、斯可嘉已。

凡屬受造之物、莫不在天主明鑒之下、腑肺盡露；吾人皆向渠負責、固無所逃於天地間也。

嗟爾蒼生、爾如責人、將無以免責；蓋爾之所責於人者、率皆躬自蹈之；是爾之責人、適足自納於罪耳。

惟內心為猶太人、真為猶太人；心靈之割禮、真為割禮。蓋割禮在精神、而不在形式、在取悅於天主、而不在苟合於人耳。

吾又見已亡者、無大無小、肅立座前、案卷悉展、另有一卷亦展、即生命冊也。亡者皆各按其卷中所載之行實而處分焉。

然此乃所以鍛鍊爾之信德、而於耶穌基督顯現之日、玉成爾之光榮及天爵耳。夫黃金乃必朽之物、尚且以火煉之；而信德固貴於黃金也。

毅然棄絕一切暗昧可恥之事、不行巧詐、不貶損天主之道、惟知在天主明鑒之下、藉真理之昌明、而自致於各人之良知而已。

兄弟之間、切勿互相詆毀。詆毀兄弟、即詆毀律法、評判兄弟、即評判律法。爾若評判律法、即非守法之人、而以司法自居矣。

主來時、見其克盡厥職、福哉斯僕乎！

主曰：「俞、忠信之僕也；爾既忠於小事、將託爾以大事。其進而享乃主之樂。」

爾何人斯、乃敢指摘他氏之僕耶！彼之能立與否、惟對其主負責；矧其主固能使之立、詎見其終不立耶？

今爾何人、竟敢指摘爾之兄弟耶！爾果何人、乃敢藐視爾之兄弟耶！豈不知吾人皆須立於天主臺前、而聽其審判乎。經有之：『主曰、吾憑己之常生而誓、血氣之倫、皆當向我屈膝；含生之屬、皆當向我投誠。』是知每人終須向天主述職也。故望爾曹勿再互相指摘。各宜小心謹慎、切勿樹立梗障、而為兄弟之厲階也。

慎毋評人、庶不受評；慎毋咎人、庶免獲咎。恕人者見恕、

慎毋責人、庶免受責。蓋爾所責於人者、必有援以責爾者；爾所用以繩人者、必有執以繩爾者。

耶穌曰：『縱欲留彼於世、以俟予之重來、亦何與於汝？汝惟從予而已！』

蓋爾等惟互相求榮、不求惟天主能賜之榮、又安能信道乎？

觀哉、彼駕雲而降矣！凡屬有目、皆當瞻仰；即曩日手釘耶穌於十字架者亦將見之；天下萬族、咸將為之拊膺痛哭。斯言必應、心焉祝之。

爾固明知主日之臨、突如其來。有如不速之客之夜襲也。

則於元牧顯現之日、爾等必獲永久不敝之榮冕矣。

維時民眾紛集、擁擠不堪、致相蹂踐、耶穌開言、先訓其徒曰：『毋染法利塞之酵、虛偽是也。蓋隱者莫不顯、微者莫不彰、爾雖言於暗中、必將聞於光天。耳語密室、乃必揚於屋巔。

此輩之終局、亞當七世孫伊納夙已預言之矣。其言曰：『主已偕其萬聖而來矣！

主曰：「俞、忠信之僕也？爾既忠於小事、將託爾以大事。其進而享乃主之樂。」

至是、人子之標幟、見於中天。時率土眾民、咸將哀泣、見人子威靈顯赫駕雲而降、

夫種植者與灌溉者原屬一體、且亦必各得其工作之酬勞。

為善有恆、追求真光榮、真不朽者、報以永生、

俾爾等安心靜候吾主耶穌基督之顯現。

翼翼事主、以速主日之臨、蓋正惟諸天焚化、物質消溶、

『造物以來、烈祖云亡、萬物如故；臨格之言、而今安在？』

是故爾每食此餅、每飲此爵、即係紀念主之彌留、以待其重臨。

惟此中亦各按其序：基督實為先薦之果、而信奉基督者之復活、則有待乎基督之重臨；
