你們要讓基督的話語豐豐富富地住在你們裡面，要用一切的智慧彼此教導、勸誡，懷著感恩的心，以詩篇、聖詩、屬靈的詩歌來歌頌神。

然而，時候就要到了，現在就是了！那時真正敬拜的人，要在靈裡和真理中敬拜父，因為父就是想要這樣的人來敬拜他。神是靈，敬拜他的人必須在靈裡和真理中敬拜。」

你們要以各樣的禱告和祈求，藉著聖靈時刻祈禱；而且為此警醒，以極大的忍耐，為所有聖徒祈求，

為此，不要做愚妄的人，而要領悟主的旨意是什麼。不要醉酒，醉酒帶來放蕩，而要被聖靈充滿：用詩篇、聖詩、屬靈的詩歌彼此對說，從你們的心裡，歌頌讚美主；奉我們主耶穌基督的名，為一切常常感謝父神；

至於你們蒙愛的人哪，要在你們至聖的信仰上造就自己，藉著聖靈禱告，

所以弟兄們，我藉著神的各樣憐憫勸你們，要把自己的身體獻上，做為聖潔、蒙神喜悅的活祭；這是你們理所當然的事奉。不要效法這世代，要藉著理性的更新而改變，使你們可以分辨什麼是神的旨意——那美善、可喜悅、完美的旨意。

因為神是全地的王。你們當用智慧詩來歌頌他！

但是在教會裡，為了要教導別人，我寧願用我的理性說五句話，也不願用殊言說萬句話。

那麼，我怎麼說呢？難道說祭過偶像的食物算得了什麼嗎？或說，偶像算得了什麼嗎？

但是，如果我按人的意思來說，我們的不義可以顯明神的義，那我們要怎麼說呢？難道降震怒的神是不公正的嗎？

這到底有什麼關係呢？只是在各種方法中，無論是假意還是真心，基督都被傳開了；我為此就歡喜，並且還要歡喜，

那麼，對這些事我們要怎麼說呢？神如果支持我們，誰還能反對我們呢？

事實上，神——就是我在他兒子的福音工作上用心靈所事奉的那一位，可以為我見證：我怎樣不住地提到你們，
