你的感恩表达得固然美好，无奈不能造就别人。

如果你吃的东西令弟兄姊妹不安，你就不是凭爱心行事。你不可因为一点食物而损害基督舍命救赎的人。

所以，我们要努力追求和睦，彼此造就。不可因食物的问题而破坏上帝的工作。所有的食物固然都是洁净的，但人若因所吃的食物绊倒别人，就有罪了。

我们坚强的人要扶助软弱的人，分担他们的重担，不该只顾自己的喜好。我们每个人都应该为他人着想，建造他人的生命。

那么，弟兄姊妹，你们该怎么做呢？你们聚会的时候，不管是唱诗、教导、讲启示、说方言或翻译方言，都应该是为了造就人。

你们一直以为我们是替自己辩白，其实我们这番话是在基督里、在上帝面前说的。亲爱的弟兄姊妹，这一切都是为了造就你们。

也不要沉迷于虚构的神话和冗长的家谱，因为这些事只会引起无用的猜测和辩论，无法帮助人凭信心认识上帝的救赎计划。

你们也是一样，既然渴慕属灵的恩赐，就应该多多追求造就教会的恩赐。

关于献给偶像的祭物，我们知道大家都有这方面的知识，但知识会使人自高，唯有爱心才能造就人。

但先知讲道是对人讲的，为了要造就、鼓励、安慰人。说方言只是造就自己，但做先知讲道是造就教会。我希望你们都能够说方言，不过，我更希望你们都能做先知讲道。说方言的不如做先知讲道的重要，除非把方言翻译出来，使教会得造就。
