But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.’

只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇；因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

但上帝對我說，『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾流過人的血。』

可是神對我說：‘你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾殺人流血。’

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建殿，因為你是戰士，你流了人的血。』

惟上帝諭我曰、爾乃戰士、流人之血、不可為我名建室、

上帝諭我曰、爾戰鬥殺人、不當建殿、為籲我名之地。

惟天主諭我曰、爾多戰殺人、殺人原文作流血不當為我名建殿、

But God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You are not the one who will build a house for my Name. That is because you are a fighting man. You have spilled people’s blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You may not build a house for my name, for you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You must not build a Temple to honor my name, for you are a warrior and have shed much blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.

but God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou[ hast been] a man of war, and hast shed blood.

But God said to me,‘ You must not build a temple to honor me, for you are a warrior and have spilled blood.’

But Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,‘ You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

“ Go and tell David my servant,‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not build me a house to dwell in;

But Yahweh said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son who will come out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.’

“ You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of Yahweh his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until Yahweh put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

“ Go and tell my servant David,‘ Yahweh says,“ Should you build me a house for me to dwell in?For I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought the children of Israel up out of Egypt, even to this day, but have moved around in a tent and in a tabernacle.In all places in which I have walked with all the children of Israel, did I say a word to any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people Israel, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’Now therefore tell my servant David this,‘ Yahweh of Armies says,“ I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people, over Israel.I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not afflict them any more, as at the first,and as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover Yahweh tells you that Yahweh will make you a house.When your days are fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your offspring after you, who will proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom.He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
